“We spent a family Christmas here and weren’t disappointed. The property itself is large enough for 9-10 people comfortably, with lots of space. The village is wonderful, very quaint, with some superb country walks, but not too far from Dorchester or Yeovil.The only issues we had were with some of the mattresses in some rooms being too soft, but that’s down to personal preference.Overall, would highly recommend.”

“Really lovely property warm cosy and comfortable. Beds very good quality. Plenty of secure parking, lovely garden. We would highly recommend. Ideally need a car to visit local areas but only short journeys. “This was our second Christmas spent at Andy’s cottage. Perfect size for the three of us. Kitchen has all of the essentials and is a lovely size looking out over the garden and fields. Shitterton is a lovely quiet hamlet with lovely period, thatched cottages.Most of our time was spent in the cosy, spacious living room with a fire roaring away. Lovely place and Andy is a great host and responds promptly to any questions.”

“The house was nice and clean with lovely clean cotton bedding and towels, and lots of small touches left like toiletpaper and handwash. There was also a hot tub which was vreat. The hosts were very helpful and also left a folder with instructions on how to use items in the house and the Wifi code. We were staying with 7 adults, 2 children and a dog. We all had a nice bedroom ( 5) and had a great time. We would certainly book it again. It was fabulous. Thank you very much! ”

“A cosy base with all we needed for a lovely stay in a lovely area. A nice welcome package of flowers, drinks and biscuits, along with a few extras - cooking oil and tea bags. Impressed with the kitchen area, which was well stocked with equipment to enable easy self catering. Denise was a very thoughtful host, willing to respond quickly to questions. One point to note - we didn't want one, but there isn't a hot tub!”
