My friend had just learned that she had cancer the week before our stay; she got sick during the first night there and we had to cut our stay short. I had messaged three times in the week with no answer so we were hoping everything was going to be ok. We asked another holiday maker staying near us and managed to make contact. “Two friends drove from different states and met in the middle...Oxford AL! Enjoyed the house and had plenty of space, enjoyed Hubbards on Main for dinner and a church service nearby. Although we walked a short block to the quaint downtown (truly, so close), we occasionally faced a stray cat or barking dog off leash. Very easy check in and out. Great communication with the host. Thank you for your hospitality!”

“The room itself was very clean. The hostess responded very quickly. The beds were comfortable. However, this was not like any place I’ve ever stayed in. That might be my fault, but I think of VRBO as vacation spots. The area was sketchy. The bottom floor had a terrible smell. The kitchen was small for cooking and preparing breakfast. There was no place to eat. The bedroom was a little warm. Although the site said there was a washer/dryer, it was on the first floor and $1.75 in quarters.”

“Primero que nada cuando hice mi reservacion, decia que el checl-in era a las 2pm y en la oficina dijeron a las 3pm. Tambien decia que incluia desayuno y en el lobby me indicaron que no. Llegué super temprano 5am porque mi vuelo era de madrugada y el personal que me atendió no hizo ni un esfuerzo por ayudarme a conseguir algo para descansar y para colmo mi nene de 7 años necesitaba un baño y se lo negó. Realmente, todos los dias pasaban atender los cuartos pero la insistencia tocando la puerta...
