Location Location Location ~ literally steps from the beach!
We were pleased with our experience! The only issue we had was the washer leaked and didn't cycle properly. However, we just made do and did not contact property maintenance or management.

Great location, some improvements needed
Steps from the beach in mid OC. New furniture, flooring, paint. Nice front deck with ocean view, comfortable unit. Improvements needed - Bathrooms need updating. Kitchen needs to be better equipped ( cooking/ baking pans, cookie sheets, wine glasses and basic cooking tools. Key access via front slider. Be aware street parking only.

Wait for renovations
Property is in disrepair. Bathrooms are 1960 (like still original) and one of the two showers didnt even work. Smell of cigarette smoke throughout the unit. Its obvious the owner is making an attempt to upgrade with new floors and living room furniture but there's still work to be done. Hence the title for this review.

The property was conveniently located. The condo was in horrible condition. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. The bathrooms need to be updated. The main bathroom ceramic is peeling and looks filthy. The water pressure is horrible. The beds are all cheap and uncomfortable. The TV in the master needs to be replaced. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the vents could be dusted as there is such thick dust and dirt it appears to be mold. The lint trap in the dryer is rusted. The walls are very thin and we could hear the folks in the condo next to us. The owner does not seem to care about this unit at all.

Dirtiest place on VRBO DONT STAY HERE
The location is perfect and with a remodel this place would be amazing. The house is so dirty you have to wear your shoes the hole time. There are cabinets missing in the kitchen, the couches are broken, the carpet is black, there are holes in the walls, mold on the ceiling, cheap beds. If you are fine with all of these things then the location is great. I would not rent here again until it is remodeled. Also the cigarette smoke odor is terrible.

Filthy
The only nice thing I can say is the location was good. The place is filthy, carpets are dirty and stained, black mold in the bathrooms and bedroom ceilings. Cabinets were broken and falling off the hinges. The stuffing from the sofas were pouring through the couch covers, the outdoor furniture is so rusted they were breaking apart all over the deck. The outside hose/shower didn’t work.

The house was not as clean as it should've been stain all on the floors. The Couch was very nasty the couch covering was even dirty and ripped. I will never book a place through this app again

GREAT Location!
So I have been debating all day how to review this property. I want to say upfront that I am so grateful to the owners and for the opportunity to stay there. It definitely met our needs, was perfectly located (we just wanted the beach and fishing) and it was SO spacious and cute! For future renters: the location is incredible. There is a small view of the ocean, it is steps to the beach, and parking was ample. The apartment was equipped with everything but we brought our items anyway. When you stay here, Keep in mind that it is likely a high traffic area for other renters, lots of people coming and going each weekend, so dont let the atmosphere of the apartment throw you off. It obviously was cleaned, and smelled fresh. Visually, its clear that it is an older and highly used building. Tips: Bring your own blankets The coffee shop across the street is currently drive-thru only Bring house slippers Pros: Everything we needed was available to us The layout and location was excellent!! Spacious Obviously cleaned and sanitized Easy access and felt safe Love the paintings! Cons (suggestions for the owners) (caveat: I totally appreciate all that you do to maintain this location and thank you again for allowing us to stay) The master bedroom needs a new comforter. The dining table is really cool but consider new or repainting the chairs? The coffee pot was missing from the machine I realize lots of salty beach people are going all over the living room carpet but consider a vinyl flooring and area rugs? Cheaper and easier to replace and the vinyl helps to prevent water damage to any floors. Otherwise, it might be time for a new carpet The deck has a popped board near the top of the steps that could be dangerous if someone trips there, and falls down the steps. Now is the time for new furniture, its all mostly on sale. Consider grabbing a new sturdy plastic set? The current set has a lot of rust and loose paint on it and my 2 year old was trying to play with it. I know what those splinters feel like so please, for future families, consider changing them so that no one gets cut or injured. Lastly, my father-in-law used the bed near the window in the first room and he said that he nearly fell off of it. He said that it was very wobbly and uneven so the first night, he didnt sleep too well. Possibly a new frame would help? Amazon has them for that size for under $100. Overall, I'm not a snobby person and I would definitely stay here again!!!

Sliding door was fixed, which seemed to be an issue with other people. The fridge barely and AC barely worked, and the renter double booked the condo. Other than that, everything was fine. Fit every one perfectly, and a great location

Absolutely disgusting inside the house.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am not one to complain, but this place was an absolute disgusting mess. There was mold throughout the house, all the blinds in the house were broken, there was what looked to be bodily fluids on the walls behind the beds, the carpet was stained and dirty. I wouldn’t even take my shoes off in the house. It’s the first time I ever felt dirtier after getting a shower than before. The bathroom door wouldn’t close. The light wouldn’t work in the main bedroom. Like I said, I am not one to complain but I do not want another family to waist their money like we did.

Had a great time!
This place was perfect for my family- nothing fancy and definitely well-loved, but steps from the beach and appliances worked just fine. If you insist on pristine carpet and up to date appliances, this place is not for you. But if you’re going to the beach for just that- the beach, it’s wonderful. Beds were comfy and my kids had a blast. The only negative was blinds are missing multiple slats in rooms, so there wasn’t much privacy in the living room area and we had to dress in bathrooms. That’s minor though in my opinion. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Place needs cleaned and remodeled
I’m very disappointed in this condo. It was dirty, floors are nasty and the walls have not been wiped in 30 years. The blinds are broken. The furniture in very room is disgusting. There was also a huge spot of black mold growing on ceiling in 2 nd by air vent. Very disappointed we left 2 days early bc we couldn’t handle the condo anymore. We met the guy down stairs he owns the #4 condo it is very nice and updated.

The location of the property was great...that’s about it. The pictures on line were very staged and not a true reflection of what you get when you stay there. Every blind in the place was broken including the sliding glass door. Didn’t even keep out the sun or had any privacy at all. No lights turn on with the switch in the bedrooms. The door in the bathroom sticks so bad that you have to pull up on it to get it to close. The water pressure is awful. Saw some type of black area around the vent in the bedroom that appears to be mold. The seating area on the deck is ok. Almost every plastic chair was broken. No fan in the living room. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. A little TLC would be nice if you continue to rent

Good stay
It was a great stay. However, the fufurniture was ripped up and cable and internet was down for 2 days. Not one to complain if it were an adult trip but there were kids and they wanted to watch tv or play their tablets in between activities.

Location, building, layout of conod are great BUT badly needs new appliances and furniture
Both couches are torn in multiple locations and both are old and dirty. Dining table chairs have rips. Freezer door handle is missing. Microwave is 30 yrs old. Dishwasher runs but doesn’t clean—have to hand wash all dishes. No disposal in sink. No ice maker. Washer and dryer run but don’t clean or dry and leave clothes smelling funky. Light bulbs are dead or missing in places. Batteries in living room remotes are dead. Cable tv is gets only local news and Home shopping network. Internet is very slow. Three keys provided for unit but only two work—no key for deadbolt. The entire inside of the condo needs to be updated. The layout of the condo is great, as is the deck and proximity to the beach. The unit itself needs serious work—renting it as is is deceptive.
