Friends on the Slopes
The Gathering Place was such a great property with suberb hosts. I was most impressed with communication from the owners and the tips and details they provided before our arrival. It helped so much with planning. We arrived to a help basket with some favorite treats like popcorn and hot cocoa which was a plesant surprise. The properyy is homey and modern. I was impressed with the size of the.bunk beds and all the beds. There were plenty of blankets and cookware. Pretty much had everything we needed for a group. Hot tub was ready to go at night and although we didnt use the firepit, we were pleased to find wood ready to go if we did. The owners communicated so well before, during, and after our stay. They made sure we were comfortable and addressed any questions right away. Highly recommend!!

New Years Getaway
We rung in 2025 at The Gathering place and couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore. The home is so comfortable and has everything you would need for a stay. The host provided a very detailed guide for the home and did not need to contact them with any issues. This was our first time to Deep Creek and will definitely revisit and stay at The Gathering Place.

Wonderful stay
Celebrated my 27th birthday here and it was beautiful, cozy, and so homey. I wanted it to snow so bad and it did! The hot tub and the fire place were our favs. Would love to visit in the summer.

Thanksgiving at Deep Creek Lake
The house was beautiful and clean and in a great location (and smelled great too!). We arrived on Thanksgiving day and were pleasantly surprised to find a decorated Christmas tree lit by the fireplace. The house is a very convenient 10-15 minute drive to Oakland or McHenry. We loved sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing. Our granddaughter enjoyed the arcade game upstairs and was really excited about the bunk bed room. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back in the warmer months so we could enjoy the beautiful outdoor amenities, as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!

Gathering Place
We rented the Gathering Place for a long weekend during a beautiful Fall weekend. The location was great, close to the water and only about 15 minutes to Swallow Falls. The house was very welcoming and cozy, but larger than what it appears online. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub and fireplace were so nice to come home to! Communication was great with the host and they were very helpful and quick with their responses. If you're looking for a Deep Creek home to rent, this is the place!

A perfect “Gathering Place” for our family!
We were very impressed with this property. It was almost as if it was made for our family. We were planning a fall getaway as a celebration of my husband’s retirement. Perfect size for the 12 of us. Our son, daughter, their spouses and our six grandchildren loved every minute. Fishing, gaming, hot-tubbing & s’mores around the fire pit every night! The house was clean, well-furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our teenaged boys shared the roomy bunk room. Our college-student granddaughter had the den. The 2 younger boys had the sofa-bed in their parents room. I could go on & on! There was even seating for 12 around the dining room table! Perfect! Our small dogs safely spent time on the large deck with the safety screen furnished by owners. We would definitely rent this lovely home again! #family12

The Gathering Place
TimberRock Village is so impressive! Beautiful and quickly growing. We stayed in one of the original homes which now needs some routine maintenance. Focus seems to be on current construction. The soon to be open lodge and new houses are amazing! The design of the house is perfect for families. We really enjoyed our vacation there. Alyssa was a delight! We hope to return to Deep Creek Lake!

Perfect family getaway
The gathering place is a wonderful retreat for family and friends. Well stocked and nicely located. Easy walk down to the water for boating, swimming, and taking in sunsets. The backyard fire pit and games were a wonderful addition to our week.

The best spot in Deep Creek
Everything about this place is perfect. It's clean, spacious and the layout is fantastic for a medium/large group. The whole house is just well thought out for a vacation. It's great for socializing or for tucking away and getting some quiet time. Also, maybe the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!

Amazing Property on Deep Creek
Amazing property on Deep Creek. Short walk from the back yard to the lake. The fire pit & hot tub added so much to our family vacation experience! The arcade and shuffleboard were a nice touch. Swallow Falls is a quick 6 minute drive from the property. Highly recommend!

Perfect Ladies weekend
The Gathering Place was a fantastic place to stay with a group of 11 women. It was very well appointed, and had everything we could possibly need. The house was beautiful and very well taken care of. The fire pit and hot tub were perfect for chilly fall evenings. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Working with Jody was so easy and delightful.

Perfect location
This house is perfect for families. The property was immaculate inside and out. Fire pit in the back yard is perfect for relaxing in the evening. Location is very close to all Deep Creek activities. We would definitely stay at this house again. Highly recommend.
