Very nice vacation cottage.
My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cornet Bay Cottage. We really liked the large windows in the front of the house overlooking Cornet Bay.

We loved our stay! Fantastic location across from the water and five minutes from Deception Pass. The house was stocked with amenities and our boys made great use of the rec room. Can’t recommend the house enough. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Horrible Host
Host and housekeeper were both very rude to us upon check in. We were early and after we moved in the housekeeper returned and told us to pack our belonging and get out until 5 pm. She called the host and she was even more rude! Telling me to vacate the property immediately and do not return until 5 pm or later!! The property had already been cleaned. The housekeeper just came back for her supplies. All they needed to say was can I retreive my supplies? There was absolutely no reason to treat us so rudely!!!!

Tucked away in Cornet Bay
This property has a lot to offer in terms of the solitude of Cornet Bay, comfortable bedding and furnishings, a generously equipped kitchen and a great kid-friendly play space in the garage. I appreciated the unique touches in the kitchen to include the local spices. My only minor criticism is the multiple spider encounters (kids were kind of freaked out) and I dont think the tv receives ESPN (granted we only turned it on once.) Really an ideal PNW getaway!

Bay side relaxation
Wonderful stay! Great location by Deception Pass Park and an easy drive into Anacortes or Oak Harbor. Very clean and well kept cabin. The kids loved the ping pong table in the garage and the bunk beds which had rails. We saw seals in the bay from the front yard. Comfy beds and a nice layout. Very impressed with the small details. Lots of nightlights, pockets on the beds for the kiddos, hangers in the closets. Great stay!

Peaceful and Relaxed
We had a wonderful time. The view of Cornet Bay was very soothing. Loved the big nice deck! The washer and dryer was a lifesaver with a “little one”. The mattresses provided great sleep! Slept with windows and doors open. It is a nice place to stay. You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful area
We had an amazing time the house is beautiful and well equipped, the area was perfect. We did have some electrical outlets (more than half) that were not working it took a couple of tries to contact someone but eventually the owner come over to look into the problem. Unfortunately he could not get anyone to come out to the island during our stay. He provided extension cords so we could use our electrical equipment in the bathrooms.

We LOVED this home for our family of five
My family of five (mom, dad, 3 young adults) loved this home. It was clean, nicely decorated and furnished, and in a fabulous, peaceful location on Cornet Bay. The location was several miles from the towns on Whidbey Island, but surrounded by the various parts of the Deception Pass State Park, which has many opportunities for hiking and other activities. We enjoyed hiking along the paths that bordered the water (and up to the bridge) and kayaking at Bombay Bay. (We opted for the rental instead of the tour; an hour was plenty and even though Deception Pass has dangerous currents, there is plenty of bay and other safer waters to enjoy the scenery from on your own). We really enjoyed grilling and hanging out on the deck to watch the deer that came to graze in the yard behind the house and the seal that came through the bay every evening. The bay is prettier than what is captured in the vrbo photo; there is a small marina a few hundred yards down the road. Also, if you walk out onto the nearby dock you can see Mt. Baker. We also enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage. The jets that flew over the property frequently were high enough that the noise wouldn't bother most people, and we loved seeing them. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked. Just a peaceful, thoroughly enjoyable getaway. Would love to come back some time.

First stay in the San Juans
The house was perfect for our group during our first stay in the San Juans. We explored the Deception State Park area and other islands via ferry and kayak. The house had everything we needed and we felt right at home. Thanks for a great vacation!
