This home has a great room layout and offers a very nice view of Puget Sound. The property is flanked by trees that isolate it from the neighbors, providing excellent privacy. There is a large flat area behind the house, above the shoreline, with a firepit set up on one side. There is also an uncovered terrace with a very nice grill. It is possible to descend to the shoreline through the trees, but the descent is very steep and should only be attempted in dry weather, if at all.
The kitchen is pretty well furnished, but we did miss having a potato masher. The two large beds use some remote-controlled mattresses, but I only realized this at the end of our stay, because the controls did not have any instructions and I took them for digital clocks. The master bedroom and bath do not have blinds for their windows, which means you can be seen from the rear lawn if you're in front of them. There are thermostats in each room, but the ones that seem to matter are the 3 thermostats in the three main rooms on the first floor - setting the thermostats on the upper floor alone did not help keep the upstairs rooms warm over the night.
The closest access to the shoreline that we found was down Green Road, at Davis landing. About 1min by car or 20min by foot. For shopping, you can drive to Oak Harbor.
There are many things to like about this property, but it would also benefit from some small improvements: an awning to cover the grill, so it could be used when it's raining; instructions for setting the thermostats and mattresses; blinds for the master bedroom and bath windows.
