Not here again

They have a/c window units that dont keep up with the heat and they leak like crazy inside and out. It wasn't clean at all was told cleaning supplies under the sink, 1 can of raid, a fly swatter and a bucket, also a vacuum in closet sucked real good but had broken belt, short supply of dishes and towels, and the tv froze up every 6o sec, had to unplug let system reset and start over every time instructions from george and thats the only tv. For almost a 4000 dollar trip they have never invested anything here since the 1960's. Read all reviews the bad ones are accurate.Only good thing location.but vrbo really let me down on this one not to their standards at all...

Relaxing. Great location.

The house was very comfortable for my family. It was a short walk to the beach. The location was perfect! The house had enough space for 8 of us.

It was hard to find the outside trash cans. We were asked to start a load of towels when we left out but there was no detergent. We never could find the light switch to turn the front porch lights on. Overall the stay it self was nice. Prior to showing up we did have an issue. We are a military family and we were traveling for Thanksgiving to see our 2 kids that are in the Navy. One is in CT and the other there in Norfolk. We originally booked this place for Saturday to Saturday and then our son in CT was informed he wouldn't be able to leave to go down to VA. So when we went to change the dates we were not given a refund for the dates we were not going to be there. No where in the forms does it say that you don't get a refund unless they are able to re-rent those dates out once you change it. But this is what we were told. In the forms it says that you can change or cancel within 4 days of scheduled arrival. We were 14 days out from our scheduled arrival. We could have canceled altogether and re-booked but it was not guaranteed that we would be able to re-book since we would have to wait on the refund which would take 7-14 days.

Beach house

Posting lead us to believe it was a straight shot to the beach. This was not the case. There was a small road you have to walk down to get to the boardwalk that leads to the beach. This road was a parking lot for fisherman. There was a couple that was living under the boardwalk while we were staying there. People were in the area, walking by the house at all hours. Nice home, comfortable. In the process of being remodeled.
