I stayed here for a week with my family and, TLDR; although there are some drawbacks you should be aware of, I found myself fall in love with this village and certainly this house in the end. I hope we will return next year.
Let's start with the drawbacks:
- The property info on Expedia/Vrybo could've been clearer about the cleaning/linen charges that come extra. TBH it's fair, considering the price we got
- Village car park is about 5 mins walk from the house so mind your luggage. It is usually full, but 2mins drive away/10mins walk away there are two big, free car park. That worked perfectly for us.
- You will have to be careful about organised events in the village, read the car park signs VERY CAREFULLY as sometimes the car park is used for events and all cars that did not leave will get towed.
- Not many shops available and fresh produce is expensive
Now the positives
- the house is massive and very well equipped and modernised
- it has STUNNING views that I immediately fell in love with. You can see the coast line along Nice/Antibes/Monaco in the day and star gaze at your bedroom window size in the deep night
- the village itself is beautiful, one of the largest in the local mountain area. There is even a Michelin star restaurant. People are very friendly.
- very nice location with easy access to various attractions in the mountain: Pont du Loup, Gourdon, and many canyoning sites
- good price and very friendly, helpful host/property manager
