Casa de transporte con encanto en las cataratas del Niágara

Una antigua casa de carruajes y una antigua herrería con una rica historia que se remonta a la década de 1800, totalmente actualizada con nuevas comodidades modernas. Este es un dormitorio de un nivel más loft, ideal para aquellos que tienen dificultades con las escaleras. Ubicado en el centro, cerca de las cataratas, Niagara Parkway, Niagara-on-the-Lake, casinos, bodegas y el centro comercial de tiendas más grande de Canadá. Un gran lugar de reunión en cualquier época del año con una cocina completa, lavandería y espacio al aire libre listo para entretener a familiares y amigos.

Este espacio actualizado y completamente equipado está lleno de carácter y originalmente se usó como una cochera para caballos que tiran del vagón de ferrocarril para el primer ferrocarril en el Alto Canadá. A finales de 1800, el sueco Otto Lofgren, quien también corrió la forja por la carretera de Queenston Quarry, la convirtió en herrería. Cozy Christmas Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although a mini staycation from home before the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we truly felt like we were on a Christmas vacation you only see in the movies. The space was open and inviting, decorated in a pleasant, welcoming way. We would love to book again, maybe in the summer to be able to enjoy the entire property!

Weekend trip
Our stay was wonderful! We tried all of the food recommendations by the host and they were all great! Communication was quick and helpful when we had questions. The property is exactly as described in the review. Wish we could have used the back yard to hang out in but we were so busy on our long weekend in Niagara that we didn’t have time. The property was very close to all the things we wanted to do. We even were close enough to come and let the dog out from time to time and take her on walks. We would highly recommend. We had a great first trip to Canada!

A Gem of a Spot in Niagara Falls
Our family was very pleased with our stay at the Halfway Carriage House last month. The cottage is convienently located about 7 mins away from the tourist district along the Niagara River Parkway. This is just far enough away to afford a respite from the crowds and traffic. The cottage is tastefully decorated and includes a thoughtful assortment of home goods, furnishings, and kitchen tools. Speaking of the kitchen, it is well designed and offers plenty of counter space for meal prep along with a large farmer's table. The entire property is impeccably clean and well maintained, including the terraced back yard. If you're looking for a practical and stylish retreat in Niagara away from the crowds, then the Halfway Carriage House is for you!

A charming cottage retreat
Our stay was amazing. First, the pics of the cottage do not do it justice. The cottage was amazing, clean, charming and so comfy. It is very close to all the attractions. Just a few minute drive to the falls and Skylon Tower. We also drove to the Inniskillin Winery at Niagara On The Lake which was only about 20 minute drive. We had the most amazing holiday and would definitely recommend everyone to stay at this wonderful cottage.

We went for a girls trip and the area felt really safe and the cottage was so cute that we took so many pictures. Will definitely book again!

Interesting history, beautiful stay
This property is beautiful and we loved learning the history from Darren when we first arrived. We had everything that we needed and even a bit extra with the Keurig and supplies. The location was perfect for us and it was easy to get everywhere we needed to go.

Great Carriage House
Darren and Lori were marvelous hosts. They answered all of our questions promptly and Darren greeted us upon arrival! The space was beautiful and had everything that we needed. The house was very near all that we wanted to see and do. It was located on a heavily traveled road and there was quite a bit of noise. The backyard space is a work in progress and will no doubt be super upon completion. We had a great time!

The Carriage House was a dream come true. Beautifully appointed, extremely clean, well stocked with everything we needed and perfectly located for day trips around Ontario and into NY. Carriage house is charming & VERY clean. Darren (Owner) met us when we arrived. He showed us around the property, told us of nice restaurants around. It is on a busy street but it quietens down at night. We were allowed to sit by the fireplace of the (his) house next door because no one was there. We would go back there again. Thanks Darren & Margaret - wonderful lady who takes care of the property.

Great Stay in Niagara Falls
The Carriage House is everything it appears to be online, if not better. The hosts, Darren and Lori, were most welcoming, and met us upon arrival with a great introduction to the house and the area. The extremely well-provisioned and beautifully designed home met all of our needs as a couple (plus our dog) throughout our three-night stay. Though near the road, noise was not an issue during our November stay. It provides an ideal base for exploring the region, close to many activities and attractions, including the Falls, numerous vineyards and restaurants, and various Lake Erie and Lake Ontario historical sites and towns. We would highly recommend it.

Charming, Rustic look, Modern Function Carriage House
It was a comfortable, two story loft experience. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a rainy get away, so we didn't get to enjoy the outside private patio area. You could cook if you wanted to. We chose to explore the area restaurants. The hosts provided a number of suggestions which we took them up on. I would recommend this little charmer to others! With short drives it puts you close to surrounding Niagara-on-the-Lake, The Falls, and much more. Thank you to our hosts! (the upstairs T.V. had little connection so couldn't be used) I'm sure this can be fixed.
