“Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Vietnam despite also being the most affordable. The hotel itself is lovely and well-situated in a quiet but convenient spot in Ninh Binh town. The staff are incredibly kind and generous: the concierge took time out of his day to drive me somewhere quiet for a scooter-riding lesson and handled getting me on a sleeper train to Da Nang. Cannot recommend Thuy Anh highly enough”

“When leaving the room, all electricity gets shut off. That means the refrigerator goes off as well. This basically means the cokes and beer gets warm. Would be great if there were a way for the fridge to stay on separately. ”

“Pasamos una noche bastante mala.Llegamos a ver hasta 7 cucarachas en la habitación.Cuando baje a comunicarlo a recepción la señorita que nos atendió nos dijo que era algo normal en el pais y tampoco supo muy bien cómo reaccionar.1 puede pasar pero 7? Estaban dentro del minibar,por las paredes...Imagino que sería un problema puntual de esa habitación pero es inaceptable .Nos cambiaron a otra habitación ante la negativa de quedarnos en esa habitación pero ya la sensación que va a aparecer una...

“It was a special treat to stay here. If you have a motorbike and want to stay out of the crowds of tam coc for part of your visit it’s an easy 25 minute ride to all points of interest there. The place is full of amazing ponds that look like a fairy tale. We spent 2 nights and were the only guests. They made us dinner both nights. The hosts were amazing. The pool is giant and deep, but was empty and being cleaned. I loved the stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants some piece and quiet...

“This property has a lot of potential but completely falls short of even being a 3 star. There is a complete lack of detail in everything. The rooms meet the minimum standard of clean, meaning the sheets and towels are changed and trash is taken out, however they are very dusty, with dusty cobwebs everywhere. The mirrors and doors are covered in fingerprints and dirty smudges. The high touch areas, like handles, hair dryer and tv remote were greasy. Also, the towels were clean, but were very worn...

“This hotel had a beautiful courtyard and small pool although we didn’t get to use it during our stay. We stayed on the top floor and the room itself was lovely with high bamboo ceilings. I also appreciated that it had a large double vanity sink area. What was weird was no hand soap by the sinks so you had to walk in the shower and squeeze out body gel every time you wanted to wash your hands. Also, the guy at the front desk didn't seem very friendly and didn’t answer the phone when we tried...

“My family arrived at 8pm only to be greeted with a shocked look and being told that they did not have our 2 room booking. We were then asked to squeeze into a single unit, with the promise that the next night would as per our booking. The next night, it seemed they sold our room to another guest and proposed we squeeze into the single room again. We insisted on getting a new room and they (somehow magically) managed to clear one for us. Poor service. Also... The tap water there is brown....
