On The Beach es una casa frente al mar en el área histórica de Nye Beach de Newport. Es un poco moderno, un poco viejo y un poco nuevo. Super cute house in a great location!
I have stayed here twice now and would definitely stay again. The only problem we had was that they only left 1/4 roll of paper towels and dust have any extra. Other than that it was a great stay.

Loved that it had a garage, upon entering house noticed a overwhelming musty smell. The floor was extremely out of level. Bathroom EXTREMELY outdated. Upstairs steps very narrow and steep, didnt even bother to use the upstair bedrooms. privacy between the 2 rooms if we did!

Best location in Nye Beach
Nye Beach is my favorite area in Newport. This house was right next to the beach access and had a great yard for the dogs! It was so close to shops and restaurants we didn't have to drive anywhere unless we wanted to. My only critiques of the property is that when I got in they had just mopped and the floors were really wet and the house had a little bit of a musty smell but that's to be expected with an old home that is this close to the water. The other thing I will say is the listing didn't quite explain the room set up. There are 3 rooms but the 2 rooms upstairs are just decided by a curtain and you have to walk into the main upstairs room in order to go down the stairs. I wish I had known that previously because you can't see it in the pictures. Other than that it was an amazing stay and I definitely plan on renting this place again in the future!

Pleasant stay at rustic beachy house
It's not luxury accommodations, but terrific View, access to Nye beach only a half a block away, two car garage so there's always parking in this popular spot, beds were comfy, and a nice yard for our dog.

Fun time at the beach
We had a great stay. The location couldn't be better if you want to be in/near Nye Beach. Walking distance to everything you need - restaurants, bars, small grocery store, beach. Only thing I'd change is make a few upgrades, the place is a little dated, but we will definitely stay again.

View & proximity to beach are great, rest - not so much
Love the view and proximity to beach access. House is in need of serious updating. It wasn't a great fit for our family of 5 ( parents plus 3 young adults). Not much privacy upstairs between sleeping areas ( a curtain). Tiny beds - which we knew going in, but it was worse than we expected. Super hot in the home when we arrived - it did eventually cool down when we opened the few functional windows that could be opened ( a note in the house said bad windows are to be dealt with Spring 2025). We couldn't locate any bowls in the house and many of the plates were chipped. We had 5 people in our group, but only 4 chairs at the table. We were only there 2 nights, so we made do, but wouldn't have wanted to be there any longer. There weren't a lot of available electrical outlets. We did enjoy sitting on the deck and watching goings-on at the beach.

The house is quite dated and run down. Couldn’t see through the windows and the air was musty and stagnant. House could definitely use a significant refresh, but was comfortable enough and can’t beat being that close in on bye beach!

Great, but a couple of small things
The property is ideally situated and great for dogs, with an enclosed yard. We really enjoyed the view and the easy access to the beach. There were a few minor issues. There is a problem with one of the garage doors (it's askew) which made it very difficult to raise and lower. We came home to water in the kitchen from the dishwasher, so we stopped using it. And there was no extra toilet paper. Even with these, we would stay again.

Not Worth The Price - Run From This Place!
Went downstairs to the basement to allow a plumber to inspect for a leak that had been reported by a previous renter. Plumber wanted to turn water off for 8 hours to fix the leak. I said; "No, we paid too much money to be that inconvenienced.He could come back after we left." While in basement I saw LOTS OF BLACK MOLD on the walls. It was a finished basement, but due to owner neglect it is uninhabitable down there. Had to call mgmt to get towels when we arrived. No covers for kitchen trash. Chips on most of the dishes. Upper cabinets extremely old, frankly gross and high up. Large outdoor trashcan over flowing and management had audacity to ask ME to roll it over the yard of LONG GRASS out to the road to be collected. TV had ZERO INSTRUCTIONS. Took 3 days and my own personal equipment to get it working so it could be watched. House is very old and frankly felt unsafe. The upstairs is 1 big room divided by a curtain to make "2" rooms providing zero privacy.1 light between both. No light for steep stairs going down to main floor.No maintenance on yard so grass was long to pick up dog messes out of. Pull strings to turn on ceiling lights throughout house, and kept breaking. BEDS EXTREMELY HARD AND UNCOMFORTABLE! LEFT 3 DAYS EARLY BECAUSE OF THIS! Fireplace screen FILTHY. Need plexiglass on the deck because the wind blows often, and nothing to stop it, so can't enjoy the deck. House has potential, but needs serious upgrades for the price they charge. I don't recommend this dump!

Coast Vacay
House was exactly as described. Great location and a bit quirky. Loved the games provided for family game night. Agree small changes would make a big impact. Bed downstairs in serious need of a new mattress. An update of restaurants and local area would be great. Binder of info is extremely outdated. All in all, the house met our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Better than a yurt!
We originally planned to spend the week in a yurt but saw the weekly rain forecast and were able to book this house last minute. We knew the house was old so anytime something was a bit dated, we would proclaim, “better than a yurt!”. We loved the location and made multiple daily trips to the beach and the local shops and cafes. The views were amazing and even on the rainy days we enjoyed relaxing and watching the waves. The upstairs floors have been remodeled since the pictures and are clean and bright. Very cute and comfy older ocean cottage. It was so relaxing and quiet. We would stay again!

Great location- beds are not comfortable, hot water not working well, issues with kitchen supplies. Overall clean and views are amazing- hopefully the above issues will be fixed and then it will be much better experience.

This was the best property. It was comfortable and so close to everything. All that you need is within walking distance and the other fun stuff is just a short drive. We will definitely be back!

7 years between stays and nothing was updated
First off I will say, the location of this property is amazing as it's close to everything Newport has to offer. We stayed at this property 7 years ago and nothing has been upgraded, including the beds and that is why I'm giving such a low rating. We came to rest and relax, which includes expecting a good night's sleep. The bed were old, small and broken down. The property is in very poor condition, especially the bathroom. We were not supplied with enough towels for our group. Great place just needs a ton of TLC.
