Wonderful bungalow
Loved this place. Great location and it was a very quiet space (though I did go and off-season at the beginning of May). Stove and microwave took some getting used to, and I didn’t use the oven, but the kitchen was great. It’s a small space, and the loft is open to the living area so it’s best for a couple that goes to bed at the same time or someone traveling solo. Wish they had a fire pit, but the space was great.

Paradise on Plum Island!
Everything about our August 1-6th stay at lovely “Plover’s Nest” was perfect! The home was gorgeously decorated, super-clean, and filled with all amenities we could possibly need! The loft bedroom welcomed both the sunrise and the sunset—so beautiful! The home was cozy, and yet spacious, for the 2 of us on a romantic getaway. We enjoyed the location as an ideal base for area exploration to the Plum Island beach, the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge at the other end of the island, and the lovely downtown Newburyport (great restaurants, shops, walkways along the water). We hope to return! Thank you for a great stay!

Just perfect
This stay was just the right thing for a short getaway with my husband. It was very clean. The house is beautifully laid out. (But definitely most comfortable as a two person rental) All the windows are a wonderful touch. The sea breeze was amazing. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. My husband ranks it at the top of our vacation rentals. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy Stay at Plover's Nest
Clean and cozy stay at Plover's Nest on Plum Island. This was just a short staycation for us and the house was exactly as listed and even better than the photos. One minor note, the fireplace has limited use because of the placement near a soundbar. It's worth noting because a lot of people expect unlimited use of a fireplace, with no time restrictions, if it's listed as an amenity. But let me continue with how great our stay was. The iTrip team was very communicative and helpful. We had a minor issue with our coffeemaker and they stopped by to replace it in the same day. I was not expecting that level of service, but it was greatly appreciated it. You can tell they really care about guest experience. Plover's Nest was spotless and I'm not just saying that. Their attention to detail and providing a well stocked house was noticed. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful home away from home
We absolutely loved spending the week at Plovers Nest. From the moment we opened the door we were impressed. The purposed for our stay was my husband had to work in town and since I work from home instead of him driving 2 hours each way we wanted to find a place I could work from and he would have a quick commute. Plovers Nest exceeded our expectation! We had everything we needed to make dinners at home each night and I had no problem working from the house due to the great internet and the desk with ample power outlets. The view from the workspace at sunrise and sunset were unbeatable. This host really thought of every detail and loved the detail of labeling and instructions. We wanted to spend another week, but due to it already being booked (not surprisingly) we were not able to. Thank you for a great experience and a mini unexpected staycation. It truly felt like a home away from home.

november vacation on plumb iskand
spent 4 days in late november with my wife in plover's nest. it's small, but cheerful and comfortable. we never felt cramped, and found everything we needed. the location is great. you can stroll on the beaches of plum island for miles, but newburyport is just a few minutes drive away. the hosts are welcoming and responsive.

Quaint little seaport house
We instantly fell in love with this airbb. Situated in a quiet little seaport town with plenty of amenities very close by. So happy we found this little gem. It was perfect for staying in if your looking to visit near by Salem. Only a 40 min drive. Uber also services the area. Or you can hop the near by train to visit Salem or Boston. Definitely be visiting again in the near future

Too short of a stay!

My husband and I were visiting friends in the area and found the location of this home to be perfect for feeling away from it all yet close to all the amenities. Great restaurants, bird watching, and hiking. We would love to return for a future visit.

Great home
This home was especially nice. The town is awesome and love the fact that the commuter rail train was a mile away. We took the train to Boston one day and to Salem one day. From here we also went to Ogunquit & Rock Port for the day. The only thing is we don’t like the stairs but we managed. The beds were comfortable & there was enough supplies in the kitchen & bathrooms for our 5 night stay. We also appreciated having a garage to park our rental car. Would stay here again.

I rented the house for my parents as a gift, they enjoyed hiking on the nearby trails, birdwatching, going out in Newburyport, and of course the beach ! They greatly enjoyed their time here.

Nice vacation house
Property was clean, comfortable , quiet, with comfortable bed and well -appointed kitchen. The only issue was the communication about check-in. Property was advertised via VRBO , and when I hadn't heard how to check in, I contacted them through VRBO and was told that I would get check-in instructions 24 hours ahead. , The morning we were traveling was tense because I hadn't heard back from VRBO , and couldn't get through to ITrip vacations. As another reviewer said, please be more clear about how communications will occur. Otherwise, I recommend this property

Delightful but with caveats
The Plover's Nest was cute as a button and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The views and light are amazing. The bed was super comfortable! A drawback for us (that might not matter to other people) was that we had specifically filtered our search for places than listed a fireplace, because it's been an especially chilly November. But it turns out that the "fireplace" here is strictly "For Ambiance Only" and can only be run for a few minutes before it has to be shut off to not damage the sound bar. So we didn't get the "cuddle in front of a fire" thing we were looking for. If you're not looking for that, no big deal, but it felt a little deceptive (and pointless). Plus the sofa in front of it is small and firm more suited for up-right formal sitting with a glass of wine, and not really big enough for two adults to cuddle - or at least not us two. For a summer trip the two porches will probably be lovely, but again with the caveat that the upper deck has a "high-top" table with taller stools. I'm super short and never find high-stools comfortable, but that's really a matter of personal preference. One thing about communication is that while the property manager was friendly and very helpful when I reached her about a problem, it was different than I'm used to with VRBO. They seem to list through at least two other listing sites, and don't reply to messages through VRBO, but rather via email from one of the other companies. So at first I wasn't getting the confirmation messages because I was looking in the VRBO app, but they were going to email and landing in spam because I didn't recognize the business names. When I found them, the emails from iTravel said that my reservation wasn't paid and I was about to lose it, while VRBO was saying it was all set. I think they really need to sort out how the owner, property manager, iTravel and Homestays communicate with VRBO. My call to the other listing company went to voicemail that said the office was closed, which briefly panicked me because we had no heat when we got there, but they called back within 25 minutes. Again, in the end it all worked out and they were super friendly once I got someone, but communication wasn't as seamless as I'm used to through VRBO.
