Souplex bien positionné mais défraîchi
Ce souplex (et non duplex comme indiqué dans l’annonce) est bien positionné dans Manhattan même si la 9th avenue est plus populaire : de nombreux SDFs mais pas de sentiment d’insécurité, comme dans tout Manhattan. De nombreux commerces de proximité aux alentours, très calme car ne donne pas sur la rue. L’appartement bien que propre est largement défraîchi avec de nombreuses traces de fuites d’eau / infiltrations, un plancher très dégradé et une partie souplex très étriquée, sans rangements et bas de plafonds surtout pour nos ados 😉 (mais 2 cafards lors de notre séjour, problème relatif à l’immeuble) A noter une équipe Gotham très disponible et réactive à nos diverses demandes (déplacée le dimanche soir pour nous apporter du linge complémentaire et a été très conciliante sur l’heure de départ)

Not what we expected
We arrived at this VRBO (on a work trip) and after about 20 mins of waiting and calling the host, they called back to tell us how to get into the property. We walked in and it was disgusting. Wet clothes on the floor, some clear substance (soap?) sprayed on the table, furniture and floor, other people's belongings, etc. My parents operate short term rental units so I understand when miscommunication happens and the unit doesn't get cleaned. But this was unlike anything I've seen before. It was so gross it seemed almost intentional. The host said they could have it cleaned in 2-3 hours but we had a work event that night and couldn't wait that long. We ended up requesting a refund and checking into a hotel. My advice would be to go straight to the hotel and skip this one...

Family trip
The property was perfect for our family. 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms made it perfect for the 8 of us. It's also nice to have a big enough table to eat all together, so you don't need to go out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had an issue, and they resolved it.

Didn't Stay a Night: Cockroaches, Filth, Unkept promises, forced us to a Hotel around the Corner.
I checked in and immediately left this rental due to its disgusting conditions. We found several cockroaches in plain sight, raising serious concerns about when it was last cleaned. There was dirty junk left in closets and under the staircase, and a sign outside the door warning of bed bugs in the building. The smell of cats was overwhelming and triggered my son's allergies, making it even more uncomfortable for us to stay. Despite requesting a pack-n-play for our baby prior to arrival, it wasn’t provided. The host said he could bring it the next day, but didn’t seem to care what we were supposed to do the first night. No clue where the requested highchair was either. The entire place felt filthy and unsafe. I quickly booked a nearby hotel (luckily another hotel was available around the corner) and didn’t stay even one night. Avoid this rental at all costs.

Great location
The host crew was very friendly and responsive. The location was super if you are looking to be near Time Square and Broadway. The place has some staples such as spices and oils, so we were able to cook some basic things to save on food costs. Sleeping 10 would be a stretch unless this included some small children. We had a great trip. We will definitely rent this again.

Perfect for our large group (9)
This was a family vacation to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The location was great as we could walk to everything we wanted to see around Times Square. We could have meals there when we wanted. It was wonderful to all be in one place instead of hotel rooms. Highly recommend.

Extremely Disappointing and Misleading
Terrible. The description does not match the property. We could bot even stay for a day and left. Apartment is on the ground floor, no windows, the balcony (again, on ground floor) was locked (not in the description) and second floor was not up but down (a basement) where 2 minuscule rooms were carved. Localized in a drug infested spot of the west side.

NYC tour June 1-4
The property was exactly as advertised. The owner of the property was easy to contact and was able to let us drop off our luggage before check-in as we had family members flying in from Europe to visit NYC for the FIRST time. The apartment location was minutes from everything. Times Square, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral were all less than 10 minutes away. 5* location and a 5* rating for the apartment amenities and support from the owner. Thank You,

It was a decent stay
The property was as described. It is a good value for a big group. It is really busy outside but when you get into the house, the noise is minimal. Overall, it was a good stay.

Never again
It all started 2 days before our arrival that the address didn't match the location as on Vrbo map. Host Offred Uber from airport for all guests (only used 1 out of 2 due to airline delays), groceries on first day, and $500 cash refund (never received). Other issues: AC unit not working in 1 room, hot water not always available in 1 shower, cockroaches (1 dead and 1 alive in the rental), master bedroom and shower have signs of water leaks from the upstairs and wall cracks around water pipes (I have videos/pictures of issues) Host set a visit for the host maintenance and exterminator but no one showed up. Host never called to cancel. I had to leave a morning breakfast meeting to be at the rental. Host made up excuses, but things didn't make any difference. Offered us to move to another rental located a few blocks away. Come to find out that it was 2 different appartements on a 3rd floor with no elevator and one less bathroom. We turned the offer down and asked the host to compensate us for all these headaches that we didn't create. He asked us to check out with 3 days left on the agreement and he will reimburse the 3 days left. We refused because it will be hard to find a new place or rent hotel rooms at the last minute. Actually, we were hoping that he would offer a counteroffer but just keep delaying every decision and the last turn he texted that he will not handle the case and his manager will. To my best knowledge I have not heard again from either one.

Nice and clean with plenty of room
If you need a clean place with a lot of bedrooms, this is a great spot in Manhattan. The host was helpful and responsive. The entrance is right on ninth avenue, which can be quite busy with some people hanging out on the sidewalk, but we never felt unsafe.
