Wonderful Trip for Families
We stayed an extended weekend and had the BEST time! Kids are asking when we can come back and stay a week. The house was perfect for kids of all ages. So much exploring outside and all the activities/ toys you can imagine inside. Kitchen had everything you would need for a large group including a hot tea/ coffee station. Very clean home with comfortable beds. Will def be booking again.

A Perfect Family Weekend

Reunion Weekend
We had a fantastic time at Rachel’s home during a long weekend reunion with a group of young families. The house has everything you need from comfortable rooms to laundry to a fully-stocked kitchen and multiple play areas for kiddos. The outdoor area is an absolute dream, and we had a blast exploring the creek, roasting s’mores and kicking balls around. Also, when there was a brief power outage in the area, Rachel was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. 10/10 recommend!

A great family reunion
Our large family reunionwas just perfect here! It was a great place to gather together, from meals at the large dining table, to outdoor lawn games, to board games played throughout the house. It is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The forest and creek surrounding made it feel like a private oasis. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Family Reunion!
Beautiful property and house! We enjoyed it so much! Rachel, the property manager, was wonderful to work with and very responsive. Actually, once we got into the house, there was no need to even contact her until a couple of hours before we checked out. The house is on a well, and a faulty refill valve on a toilet, ran the well dry overnight. Not her fault...these things just happen. But she was apologetic and responsive. Other than that, everything is very fully functional and in good shape! The one and only complaint any of us had was the odor from the septic system. We have no idea what was going on...it was only outside, and no one ever walked in any soggy area. Other than the odor, it didn't affect the joy the children (and adults!) had while playing outside. Thank you for providing a wonderful place for our family reunion! Lots of sweet memories were made!

Perfect stay for large family
We had to come into town for a funeral and found this lovely house. The host accommodated us last minute as another rental canceled on us. We have a large family (12) and were also sharing the house with another family (5). There was plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean and well suited for our large group including having games and toys for children. We came in December, and the house was decorated for Christmas complete with a tree! It made the stay seem very personal and cozy. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace which was already set when we arrived. The hosts also had a gift basket and small gifts for the children on arrival. We would recommend this home as a home away from home.

Excellent Home for Family Reunions
Our stay at Country Hollow was a wonderful experience. We arrived to an immaculately clean home with all of the small details attended to. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all equipped with essential items. We appreciated the custom furniture and closets and the simple, yet beautiful decor. Our family made ample use of the large kitchen with plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs, silverware and cookware. It felt very personalized yet professional. The only small issue we had was with wifi and streaming, but we watch enough screens that some time off was good for everyone. Oh, also the home has plenty of activities and games for all ages from board games to toys and sports equipment. Really loved this home and property and would highly recommend to anyone considering a family gathering.

Wonderful Family Weekend!
This house was spacious and roomy for our big family of 20! Tons of games and toys for inside play are available for all age ranges, and the game room was really fun to hang out together. The great yard with a bubbling stream was a delight for the kids, and the corn hole and volleyball/badmitton sets providing hours of relaxing fun and together time. We never needed to leave! Thank you for stocking the house so well, with s'mores and wood for the firepit, coffee and all the paper products and basic necessities needed for cooking. We ALL had a great Memorial Day weekend together. Thank you for your comfortable, relaxing home!

I didn’t feel that the house was cleaned before we arrived.
We found candy wrappers in the bedroom downstairs, a cigarette lighter in a bedroom, broken glass in a bedroom. One of the basement doors of the bedroom would not stay shut. The Internet would not work at all, which was a problem due to us having teenagers that needed to do homework. The house is beautiful however it needs To be clean better.

A quiet beautiful refuge from the daily grind - relax on the deck with coffee or near the brook.
We choose this home because of all the fantastic reviews, and we were not disappointed - to say the least. The well-groomed property was a welcomed retreat from the quiet sounds of nature to a small brook flowing through the tree line in the front yard. Morning coffee was perfect sitting on the nearby bench. Awaiting your family for some evening smores and campfire songs is a wonderful gathering area and fire pit, a great welcome for old fashion family fun. The BBQs were awesome. We had a blast! The Country Hollow House was very comfortable and spacious for our family of 18; we did not feel crowded. Our entire family was impressed with the attention to detail and how well the home is maintained. Rachel, the owner, was absolutely wonderful and addressed our questions fast and friendly - a true gem. There were plenty of bathrooms and hot water was never an issue. The central AC kept everyone feeling cool on some super hot days. Our family has vacationed at many homes, but this home made it one of our best vacations. There were so many things to do in nearby Lancaster that we will certainly be back - can't wait! We highly recommend the Country Hollow House. Thank you Rachel for the delightful basket and fun amenities/games that your home offers.

The "Higgy-Higgy" was loved by all!!
Our 5 year old granddaughter named this dream home the "Higgy-Higgy" shortly after we arrived - I don't know why, but the name stuck. The grandkids were in the yard playing if we were at the house - during most of the days we were out learning all about the countryside and the people. We had more than enough space to join together (10 of us) or to separate to have some quiet time. It was a great time of fellowship for our family. We will treasure our time in Pennsylvania. In fact, the grandkids want a repeat next year!! Thanks for the memories!!

The check-in process was smooth. This home has everything you could possibly need to curate a getaway experience. The rooms are spacious, the property is kept very clean, & it's perfect for large groups. The response time for any questions or emergencies was very quick.
