On the river!
River is just down the hill from the back deck. House is very comfortable, clean, & roomy. There’s a pull-out couch in the room off the kitchen that we didn’t use, but it was nice to have the option. We loved it & plan to book again next year!

River time
Great place . Clean and cozy. Kids had a great time. Never left the water for the whole 5 days. Had a temperamental toaster 😂. Had to keep my eye on the toster so it wouldn't burn the toast. Water front needed to be cleaned up. Pulled a bunch of branches out of the step area to get our kayaks in. Other than that we saw deer, turkeys, ducks , fireflies, and beautiful cranes. Great time!

Fun on the Rapids
Property was just as pictured. The rapids were right off the steps leading down into the river. Just a few feet away is the dam where the kids enjoyed snorkeling! Our entire family enjoyed this trip immensely! You might need to take note that they only offer a standard coffee maker - not for kcups. This was the one thing we didn't prepare for. We will definitely stay there again!!

River fun!
Our 3rd stay at the trout house was great. The river right at our back yard was perfect. The pictures accurately depict the house. It could use a bit of updating but it was just what we needed. We will be back next year!

Great place on the river
We loved our stay at the trout river house! Very well maintained, spacious house. Everything worked well there except for the low flow shower head in the master bath. That thing is a crime against humanity. But otherwise the house was great, excellent river access. We absolutely smashed the trout, catching 26 up to 22 inches long. Great back yard and the boys loved chasing lightning bugs. I highly recommend and we will be back. Please change the shower head before next time!

Peaceful Yet So Fun
This house and property surpassed our expectations. It was such a nice peaceful place to have our family vacation. We loved sitting on the back porch in the mornings drinking our coffee, watching the deer, and listening to the sounds of the river. During the day the river was definitely a nice refreshing place to put lawn chairs and hang out. We couldn’t have asked for a better place (neighborhood) to get together and enjoy family time while enjoying the river!

The house is very big and clean. Nice deck out back. Great location next to clean river with great sights and sounds. But please clear the brush by the river side to improve the view.

Great weekend getaway
Perfect location with easy access to the river. We went for a concert at Whitewater and stayed thru the weekend. Plenty of room for 3 couples and a pack n play or two. Make sure to bring your water chairs and tubes. Would give 5 stars if there was any necessities on-site like salt + pepper, coffee, cooking oils. Sucks to have to buy those for just 3 days.

Relaxing river
The house was a perfect size and decent location for relaxing. Nice deck facing the river where you could sit and listen and watch the current. The yard was a little steep for me but the kids loved it. The house was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Nice stay for us!

Very nice. Weather didn't cooperate.
The house is very nice, with direct access to the Guadalupe River. The beds are great, and the location is quiet. The lot slopes significantly down to the river, and you should be careful as you walk down. We had a 6 inch rainstorm during our stay, and it messed up the fishing.

Wonderful and family friendly
We enjoyed our stay so much. It was a comfortable place. We loved the river and the grandkids loved getting in the water. It was close to town and to the venue that we went to every day. When we come back we would love to stay here again.

Perfect Family Vacation
Fabulous home away from home! We enjoyed being able to have our kids and grandbaby at this beautiful home. The river right out in the back yard was a major bonus for us. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed to enjoy family breakfast and lunch on the beautiful back patio. Definitely will be staying here again.

This house is very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed being on the river where it is located. The house layout is nice and accommodates 6 people very well. I was also impressed with Vacasa. We would love to return.

Great house for spending the day on the river!
We booked this house with a few of our friends for a kayaking trip we planned but once we got to the house and saw our awesome river ledge, we never left the house! We brought our coolers to the river, put our chairs in and stayed in the river most of the weekend. There had been a lot of rain recently so I don't know if the water level we enjoyed was the norm during the Summer but we definitely made the most of it. There were spots shallow enough to sit in a chair but other spots deep enough to dip in and swim. The house was private and the neighbors we did happen to see were very friendly but kept to themselves. We did see quite a bit of people floating & kayakers go by but that just provided friendly entertainment for the day. River vibes from & for everyone! There's a rental company nearby if you did decide to float or kayak. There's also a great pizza place and other restaurants nearby to make your trip super convenient. The backyard does have a long slope to get to the water but we didn't have any issues in our group. I would advise to bring extra towels because since there was so much rain recently, it made for a muddy mess when trekking back up to the house. Overall a great house with a great location on an amazing river, especially great for kiddos with the shallow water.
