We were supposed to receive an email with check-in instructions, and when we arrived we had not received that email. Instead, we received an email with our receipt attached. We then called the office and received the after hours answering service. They paged the on-call person who informed them that they were no longer on-call and could not help. So we were sitting in front of our rental with no way to get in. The property manager was really snippy in a text message to me because she thought she had already sent the instructions. When I asked her to resend the instructions because I had not received them, she replied I should check my junk folder. I did, of course, before I even reached out. Other than the horrible management response, and lack of access to them, the property was great.
