The perfect space for the break we needed
My husband was diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer in late July, and we wanted to do something special for our 27th wedding anniversary in September, so we went outside of our comfort zone and booked this cabin. We were not disappointed! The property was exactly as described and we felt at home the minute we opened the door. It was immaculate, and it was easy to find everything we needed. The beds and pillows were of better quality than many of the four-star hotels I've stayed at before, and the towels and linens were in excellent shape. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, bowls, flatware, and the like. We loved that the property was pet-friendly, so we brought along our two rescue pups. They had a great time exploring all the new scents and walking on the trails. We were fortunate to have really good fall-like weather during our stay, but it wasn't difficult to imagine being happily snowed in on a cold winter's day with the fireplace and all the amenities. We only live 30 minutes away and will definitely keep this property on our list of special places. We hope to visit again to celebrate our 28th and other wedding future anniversaries.

Perfect Getaway
This property is beautifully maintained and the online photos don’t do it justice! It is only a short drive away from all the local attractions which made it easy to take short half-day and day trips to the perfect hiking spots. The home is located on a beautiful piece of property with plenty of porch and outdoor seating to enjoy the peace and quiet. The kitchen is one of the best stocked and organized ones I’ve ever encountered in a rental. I would highly recommend this rental as the perfect getaway!

Annual Family Vacay
My family has been vacationing in Hocking Hills for the past seven years. This is by far our favorite cabin. It’s spacious and has the biggest kitchen we’ve ever had, which is important to us because we love to cook. I love the open concept of the kitchen, dinning and living room areas. We’ve never had a bad cabin in Hocking Hills, but this cabin is now our first choice and we will be back.

The house was so cute! Everything was extremely clean and orderly. We appreciated the little cards explaining use in the house. The property was great and the pond was so cute. We appreciated the driving instructions sent before he d because there’s absolutely no service at the house. We would definitely stay again.

Best place in Hocking Hills!
Clean, spacious, amazing view, hot tub off main floor was a plus, not off the basement like most rentals. Table was big enough for all 11 of us to play cards and boardgames. We go every year over presidents day weekend and this was our favorite so far!

Wonderful in EveryWay
This was a wonderful home away from home. It was easy to locate, had all the items we needed, and was close enough to the parks and stores not to be any problem. I really liked how roomy it was where everyone had a private space to be if they wanted privacy. It was too cold to use the outdoor area but at another time of the year I can see how the campfire with the chairs would be fun. The master bedroom area was above the garage and was therefore a bit colder than the rest of the house, but didn't mind it while asleep. If someone was really cold natured they would want another blanket. Never did figure out how to turn up the heat on a long term basis. All in all I have no complaints about this property and would definitely stay again.

Everything was great in this house. We had everything we needed and it was far enough to not see any neighbors. Check in was smooth and being able to bring dogs was a great addition to the weekend.

Comfy and Relaxing!
This is our second time at Buckeye Trail and we love it! So much space to relax and be with family. We cooked and spent a lot of time on back porch which had some of the best views! See you next year!

Quiet getaway
Wonderful stay. House was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the yard as did our border collie. Property is near the road but wasnt an issue. Used the hot tub alot which was the only problem as a dryer would be extremely helpful.

Hocking Hills Getaway
This house is fantastic. Our family of four came with another family of four for a long weekend. You have access to the garage, which is very helpful for loading and unloading. There is a fridge in the garage that is perfect for storing extra drinks. To get to the main level, you'll have to come up the basement stairs or head up the ramp to the front door. The main living area is very spacious and the kitchen has plenty of empty cupboard space to put your food. The kitchen is also well stocked and has everything we needed for cooking/grilling. The bedrooms are nicely decorated. There is fantastic storage space between all the closets and dressers. The finished basement was a perfect hangout for the kids, and the bedroom and full bathroom down there was super nice. The side deck overlooking the pond and hot tub was very relaxing. The location was great - not too far to the caves, and right in the middle of Logan, Nelsonville, and Lake Hope State Park. There is WIFI at the house, but not much cell service nearby! GPS on our phones was not great. Amy was extremely helpful in answering all our questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Love this place!
We wanted to get away from our busy lives for a weekend and this was the perfect place. It was very peaceful and relaxing especially on the large back porch and around the fire pit. Both the porch and the fire pit had plenty of seating and the chairs were very comfortable. I loved the lay out of the cabin as it was very spacious and not cramped like many other cabins including a huge couch and recliner in the living room where 5 adults could sit comfortably. The 3 bedrooms each had their own bathroom and there was also bunk beds in a 4th bedroom that we didn’t even use. All the beds were very comfortable (not cots that are called beds like a lot of other places I have stayed). I highly recommend staying at Buckeye Trail we will be back.
