We booked the Mt.Juliet Charmer for my birthday weekend to spend time with my family. Upon arrival, I walked in to find that the house had not been cleaned at all. There were water bottles/trash in multiple rooms of the house, dirty dishes filled the sink and stove, there were dirty towels and wash cloths in the bathrooms, and the beds clearly had been slept in. On their app, Vacasa asks you to call if their is any issue with the property. However, my husband, sister, and i all called and were on hold for anywhere between 10-30 minutes. When we were finally able to talk to a representative, the woman i spoke with said they could not guarantee that the property would get cleaned tonight whereas my sister spoke to a representative who said we would receive a call in 15 minutes from a cleaning service. To their credit, once we did not receive a call in 15 minutes, we called back and requested a total refund of the trip, which they agreed to. I don’t know that this sort of thing happens all the time with Vacasa properties, but I will personally never stay at a Vacasa owned property again for the sole reason that communication with them is difficult.
