Because we were to pick up our room key at the elevator, we assumed our building would have an elevator, but it did not. We are in our seventies and my wife has knee problems, which made it very difficult to walk up 27 steep steps.
We should have been informed at the time of booking that no elevator was in that building.
The entry door when locked, locks not only the outside but also the inside, I think this would violate the fire code, as you would have to fumble around to unlock the door in an emergency.
