Never received access code to get into property. We were at the site calling for information. Check-in at Ocean village is not very friendly. Hours are not appropriate at the golf cart rental. It's like everyone does their own thing not good communication between golf cart and property staff. The one outside pool was not clean at all so we did NOT use it. Splash pad was a little slippery for young children. it would be nice to have a general store inside property. The grocery store was very close. The property we rented

Dirty hot stay with terrible property management
The AC unit is on its way out and when reported to the property management they did send a repair guy out who said it needed to be replaced. After my stay they said it was fine and I should I have voiced my concern earlier, that it was my fault. Cockroaches everywhere! Dirty sheets and very dusty. The dishes all stink because of the dirty dishwasher. I will never stay in any property managed by this company again.

Needs updating. Needs cleaning. Old dirty rugs. Old furniture. Needs a good deep clean. Nice location on the lake. Lots of turtles and ducks. Proximity to ocean excellent on the golf cart. Facilities at OSV are very nice.

Nice location but needs some attention
Our vacation was great but for the amount of money we paid for the house we expected it to be fully functional and provide everything in the listing. The listing states the house has a grill but there was no grill. Our family doesn’t eat out a lot and planned on grilling most of our meals. We ended up having to buy a small propane grill. The a/c is not equipped to keep up with the high temperatures of SC. We never moved it from 71 degrees like we were instructed to do but there were several times the temperature in the house was 78 degrees. The outside shower in the listing is not a shower at all. It’s a garden hose stored in a milk crate hooked up to one spigot and in order to use the hot water you have to change the hose to that spigot. The bathroom sink in the spare room didn’t hardly drain. The wifi does not reach the spare bedroom at all. We weren’t able to use the TV in that room because of that.

Much Needed Relaxing Vacation
My husband and I stayed here for 9 days during Spring Bike Week and Memorial day weekend. We booked last minute due us being unsure if vacation would be possible for us(family emergency). Overall the property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, The neighborhood is very quiet. We really enjoyed having the view of the lake and watching the geese and turtle each day. The only recommendations I have for the property manager is.. 1) Provide better instructions for check in/check out. We received very limited instructions. Upon arrival all we received was a parking pass at the guard house. The home has no binder in it for guest to review for rules/instructions or recommendations of the area. 2) Upon checking out I was not sure if I was supposed to leave the key inside the house or put it back in the lock box My instructions advised me to do both. 3) The Instructions need to be corrected about the rules on the golf cart if one is not going to be provided. We read reviews about a golf cart from a previous guest and received instructions on driving the golf cart. However, upon arrival we found no golf cart was available for use and per the owner one is not provided. To personally rent one for our total stay would have been over well over $600.00.

water view!
such a sweet place. decor was adorable, beachy and tasetful. we appreciated the use of golf cart! And the best part was the covered deck and being on the pond. We loved sitting outside watching all the birds, the lovely weeping willow trees, and the swan even made an appearance :-)

Good neighborhood
All in all place was just ok. Started out with management not holding up the payment agreement resulting in 2 week early withdraw of $. Golf cart had 1 flat tire & all low( luckily had air pump) gfi breaker was popped so wasn't fully charged (thought I was going 2 have to push my 88 year old mother home) some soft spots in floor & shower - could hv used a few more kitchen items & a better grill. Staying at that location again probably won't- for the money could do better! Very nice community & very good beach accessibility!

This was just a short trip.
This was just a short trip but the house was perfect for what we needed. It was just my husband, daughter and myself for a few days. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because we did find some small shards of glass in the carpet by the couch. Other than that it was exactly what we needed for the weekend.

Very clean and Home Like
Loved the house. Everything was clean and very nice. The HVAC, Water Heat, Water pressure, Washer/Dryer all worked great. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and appliances. The golf cart and digital TV services were a plus!

Community Dated, but Decent. Wouldn’t stay at this property again.
I want to start by saying that I have stayed at 10+ rentals and have never left a negative review. This, sadly, was a poor experience, because of the poor communication with the hostess. I will share some of the pros and then list the negatives. Pros: -The pictures were similar to what the property was like, overall it’s what you’d expect. -The community, though dated, worked well for us. Super close to the ocean and convenient, especially if you have a working golf cart. Negatives: -Prior to our stay (48 hours) we received a vague email saying that we would be getting a full refund because she had cut ties with the people we were working with. We emailed and called her, because we were confused by the email. She did call us back and explain that she had accidentally sent us that email. - You need to print a form she provides and show it to the guard to access the property. We received this less than 24 hours prior to check in. Because of where we live, we had already left and didn’t have the capabilities to print. Luckily the guard was willing to work with us, but again, an unnecessary stressor. - You sign a rental form that includes loose details about the stay, including the code to get in. Not a huge deal, but I’m used to properties that message you the necessary/important info. The house also didn’t have any info printed about the neighborhood-literally only the WiFi on the fridge. We are used to welcome packets with information about the area and reminders for when you leave. - Within the first 24 hours we didn’t have working water. We messaged the hostess and she replied “I will check with the village” and never heard back from her. Luckily the water came back on, but the next day it shut off again for over 8 hours. While this wasn’t something she could control, she never even said “I’m so sorry for this inconvenience” or anything of that nature. Just vague “I’ll check with the village” texts and then nothing else. -We took the golf cart to the pool and it died. We contacted her and again got vague a response with no “I’m so sorry”. We didn’t have a working golf cart the entire stay (5 days). -Our toddler found a large, dead bug in the house. Very gross. -They left enough dishwasher soap to run one load and enough soap to wash a couple dishes. Not nearly enough for 5 days. -Things happen, but I think the hostess’s response can make a bad situation better. That didn’t happen for us.

Too Expensive for what you get
The property looked better online than it did in person. This property is a trailer that has been remodeled. The plank flooring is not level. The formica countertop in the kitchen sags over the dishwasher. In the main bathroom, there is a problem with the shower surround. It leaves a rusty leak and soap residue sticks to the tub. You have to clean it before you use it every time. The outside shower was nasty and had old personal items in it. The landscape was unkept and had weeds in the beds. The Air Conditioner would not cool below 70 degrees and it was hot. I was told there was a grill at the property, but there was no grill, so we had to go purchase a grill. We were told we could park our enclosed trailer at the unit if there was room, but we had to move it to a field due to HOA rules. We were not informed until we received paperwork to check in that no one under 25 could drive the golf cart and we had planned on our teenagers being able to drive it around. Other properties in the same gated community were bigger and nicer for the same price we paid. There were no big pots for cooking for families. I would not recommend this unit. It was a dump compared to others around it.

Awesome vacation week
Had a wonderful vacation in Oceanside Village! Loved riding golf cart to beach & definitely go eat at the Conch Cafe!!! Safe place & family oriented!!
