“The cabin is larger than I expected; it is essentially a small house, and proved supremely comfortable. Vermont gets *cold* in the winter, but we always felt cozy inside. The decor, while simple, is tasteful and evokes a Longfellowian image of a comfortable country retreat. Shower and bath is *hot* and revitalizing. We hiked up the Appalachian trail and supplied our necessities at the Country Store, both within easy walking distance. Difficult hike in snowy and icy conditions, but well worth it...

“This trip was just as wonderful as the first. Spent our second Thanksgiving in this beautiful and private setting. It snowed 13 inches on TG day and it was so gorgeous! Sitting in the hot tub with the snow falling was really perfect. Everything was provided and check in and checkout were easy. Located close to Manchester, we had fun trying out hand at glass blowing at Hot Glass..too fun! Would recommend this place to all.”

We cooked dinner one of the nights we were there and all we had to bring was the food…the kitchen was fully stocked with pans, dishes and flatware…even a vegetable peeler and can opener! “We stayed in the property for 2 nights. It was a short drive from okemo ski resort. The home is clean and lots of entertainment. Kitchen is pretty well equipped. The home is on top of a steep driveway so make sure you have 4WD if you go in the winter. Only complaint is that the didn’t have any firewood in the house for the fireplace. We did ended up getting some on our own and I’m still waiting for them to reimburse me.”
