“Overall a great stay - had plenty of bedrooms, everything we needed for our stay, and was perfectly quirky. The place wasn't perfectly clean, but it was also tough for a place that big. Some of the light switches also didn't work, but those are minor quibbles, it was a great stay.”

“Our stay at the cottage was very relaxing. The large open yard and wonderful view of the mountains was perfect for us as well as our dog. The cottage was clean and had a very comfortable bed. Communication with the manager was great from booking to check-out, we wish we could have stayed longer.”

“My husband and I invited our wedding party to stay at NHMI with us for the weekend of our wedding! We got married at Ragged Mountain and this inn was a perfect spot for our wedding party to get ready/ hangout after the wedding! The inn was extremely clean and charming with views that will take your breath away. Perfect weekend! ”

“We had a wonderful time during our stay. It’s such a beautiful area and the house was perfect for our family. Kitchen is well stocked and we made a great meal while we were there. Close to a lovely lake that we walked around on a sunny fall day. We’d return for sure. ”

“The Story Homestead was a wonderful place to stay for our family's autumn getaway to NH. We loved exploring the surrounding countryside, which was ablaze with fall colors. The kitchen was well-equipped for preparing family meals, and the spacious bedrooms ensured everyone had a comfortable stay. A truly memorable experience - highly recommended!”

“Great location and house! Right on the water with a dock for your boat, with a boat launch down the street. Lots of beds and the game room is awesome. Keep in mind there is no AC, so it gets really hot at night. They have 4 box fans but you may want to bring one from home. No dishwasher but they have everything you need, but I would bring disposable supplies. The host was great and very responsive. Definitely recommend this place! We stayed over the Fourth of July and the location was perfect....

“We came to celebrate life with family and friends. All mature ladies who love to laugh. 3 participated in the NH half marathon, 2 participated in the 10k, and 3 scoured the surrounding area to provide Red Velvet cupcakes to the runners at the end. The house was beautiful and exactly what we needed for our time together. It was conveniently located to allow us to explore and enjoy the beautiful area as the leaves changed. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen....

“We loved this house! It has plenty of space to hang out together and lots of little spots to get away if you want. The kitchen is beautiful and has a deck off it with a beautiful view. You can see the water from there. The hot tub was great and it’s in a nice private spot behind the house. We used the fire pit a couple of times. Also a great experience. We kayaked across the street. There’s a rail trail also across the street and bikes. I was able to bike for miles. The house is a little creaky...

“We were a group of 10. 6 adults 4 children. Plenty of open spaces for our gathering. Dining area for 10 was great for all to eat together and for family games in the evenings. Sunset views were amazing. Kids enjoyed making smores. We all had a great time and hope to be back again ”
