Great Thanksgiving getaway
Our family had a great time at Cliffside Falls over Thanksgiving. The house was terrific…roomy and clean, with every amenity, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of games and activities for all. The hikes to the falls were amazing and a spectacular sight we will long remember. Rick was also a very welcoming host, and kept us informed all along the way. We would highly recommend and love to return!

Excellent!
Everything was wonderful! The house was in great shape and had many amenities. The views were beautiful. Lots to do on the property, so we didn't need to leave. Our kids enjoyed the game room which also had lots of toys. No complaints!

Above and Beyond
We stayed with our extended family and had an incredible time. The hosts have covered every detail imaginable around this property. We traveled with family of all ages and there was so much for everyone to do and enjoy. There are so many magical places to discover. We absolutely loved our time here and hope tp teturn soon!

No stone unturned!!
Cliffside Falls... is exactly that! It is a magnificant home built on a cliff with a beautiful water fall and streams running continualy to lull you to sleep at night and relax you during the day, We had a wonderful time- all 15 of us! Everything we needed was provided in the house and outside. There was no stone unturned. Rick and Corrine have thought of your every need when preparing this home for guests. They were very responsive before and during our stay. Never have we stayed in a VRBO home that was so well stocked with dishes and cookware... even down to birhthday candles!! And then as we sat on either one of the porches and took in the view of the mountains--well... it could only have been better if it was fall and they were all different colors. Truly fabulous views and sounds and birds flying over head! The humming birds were also in a plenty! We would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful picturesque place to anyone. It even has a private apt that you can stay in too, if needed! We golfed, took a scenic train ride to see eagles, kayaked, played games, walked the trails around the house and others and a couple of us even climbed the face of Seneca Rocks! Oh... a trip to Lost River State Park was also a treat! It was a perfect vacation and thank you again to our most gracious hosts!!

Fantastic Family Trip
Cliffside Falls was definitely a perfect vacation home for our family get-together - we were celebrating our Mom's 90th birthday!! The home was well-suited for all of the various family groupings; lots of space to spread out. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could even think of needing. With the additional kitchens it was even more convenient to fix food for 13 people. We appreciated all the various amenities (hot tub, corn hole, games, puzzles, pool table, etc.).The hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable - left a beautiful gift basket filled with all sorts of goodies; even left a gift for our Mom! It was nice having a supply of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, coffee, etc. We've been doing this yearly for the past 10 years, going to different vacation homes each time and Cliffside Falls is by far, the best one yet!! (And the falls were beautiful!!)

Wow!!
This place is amazing! The owners are right on top of everything, down to the last detail. They have all amenities covered in the kitchen for any cooking. There is silverware, appliances, and everything you need to make just about any type of meal. Every room is fully decorated to fit the mountain atmosphere. The details and thought put into each room is extraordinary. The views and the outdoor environment is by far the greatest part of the property. Everything was absolutely breathtaking. We will definitely return to visit again. Thank you again for a memorable experience with our family.

Beauty all around!
Our stay at Cliffside Falls was very enjoyable! Views of the mountains on one side of the house, and the beauty and soothing sound of the rushing mountain stream and falls on the other side! The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds, and lots of games, toys, and activities for the whole family!

Absolutely amazing
We had a group of 13 with ages from babies to grandparents and all had a most wonderful time. The house is beautiful, spacious, clean and completely equipped with just about anything you could ask for. All of the bedrooms were lovely in different ways and beds are extremely comfortable. The views were gorgeous. The outside grounds were as well equipped as the inside of the house, with many chairs, decks, yard games and fire pit with wood provided. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

We booked Cliffside Falls for a couples retreat and it exceeded our expectations. There was no need to leave the property as Rick and Corinne have thought of every detail. The setting is spectacular and the ammenities met every need for those who wanted to be physically active to those who wanted to sit back and relax! We are already planning a return visit!!

Cliffside Falls is awesome!!
The communication before we even got to the house was fantastic. Quick prompt replies to a variety of questions were received. The house was beautiful and fully stocked for our enjoyment. The outside areas of the house were enjoyed by our group. We had a large group and we had plenty of room for dinners, gathering together and sleeping. I totally recommend this house to anyone looking.

Excellent stay!
There is not 1 item we would recommend improving upon. The whole house/amenities/ communication , etc, exceed all expectations in a house rental. Everything was so clean and well maintained. All bedding, furnishings, etc were of excellent quality. There was nothing in the kitchen that was lacking. It had everything you would expect and many items in abundance! Our group of 10 think it was the nicest place we have ever stayed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us

Stunning property but challenging hike to waterfalls
Everything was amazing! The views, house, and yard were even better than in the pictures. There's a ton to do at the house like corn hole, horseshoes, etc and two different hikes: the stream and the waterfall. Our 5-year-olds were able to do the hikes but we did not bring the toddlers. The hosts were so great, accommodating, and communicative. In fact, we left something and they shipped it back to us! Have a plan for going places by downloading a map. We visited Smoke Hole Caverns and the fishery. No one wanted to leave and we will definitely be back!

Cliffside Falls - amazing in every way!
My large family group of 15 (aged 11 to 85) had the most wonderful vacation, largely due to the most beautiful, well-appointed vacation home we've ever stayed at. So much attention to detail from the moment we arrived to a wonderful welcome basket of goodies and personalized note. My three adult children are all cooks and were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was, which made it easy to prepare large family meals with every kitchen tool you could imagine and then some. The home was super clean and comfortable. Everywhere we looked there were little extra touches and notes to explain things. We loved pursuing all the books, pamphlets and information regarding the area. We enjoyed the game room, and my grandchildren spent most of their time there. The waterfall and mountain views are amazing and spending time on the patios was my favorite. There were plenty of different seating areas was nice. We were never bored with all the things there are to do without ever leaving the property. I could go on and on... my family kept thanking me over and over for choosing the perfect place... we hated to leave and hope to return again someday!!! Rick and Corrine were amazing hosts, thank you for everything!

Ran out of superlatives!
I have run out of superlatives for this property. Rick and Corrinne have done an utterly amazing job providing the perfect getaway for a large group. From the outfitting of the house, to the thoughtful, little things, everything was beyond expectation. The panoramic view is instantly calming; as if that were not enough, the waterfall sound in the background soothes the soul. We had many crystal clear nights seeing thousands of stars, and shooting stars....awestruck is the closest I could describe that sky. Rick and Corrine were solicitous, informative, and communicative prior to and during our stay. I cannot recommend this property more highly! We look forward to returning to this very special place.

Perfect Family Getaway
Our family visited the last week of July 2023, and found Cliffside Falls to be beyond our expectations. Our party included my husband and myself (60’s), three adult daughters with their spouses, (30’s), two teenage daughters, a three year old, 11-month old, and a newborn. The home had bedrooms for everyone, and 4-1/2 baths, so it was spacious enough for all. The home itself is very comfortable with high end furnishings and is very well stocked with supplies such as tissues, garbage bags, soaps, spices, etc. It was nice not to have to purchase these items at the local Food Lion. The house is very remote; no neighbors at all and about 15-20 minutes to town. The view from all directions is stunning. Our family was content to stay in and be together; we were not interested in dining out or exploring the area, so this home was perfect for us. The Wi-Fi worked well, we were all able to stay connected. The game room was a lot of fun, we spent a lot of time challenging one another to re-matches! We also took advantage of the outside games; cornhole, horseshoes and darts, as well as a fire pit and hot tub. All of the adults went to see the falls on the property, but the trail is very steep and difficult to navigate. Not a place for children to be unattended. We hope to return again and stay in this lovely home.

Family Vacation
Our family of 11 just had an amazing 5 nights at Cliffside! This was our 1st time visiting West Virginia and we were not disappointed! The Mountain views are incredible and the sounds of waterfalls heard from every space on the property was beyond relaxing!! Plenty of space for us to all spread out, yet lots of cozy spaces for hanging out together, especially meals together! The kitchen was the most stocked of any place we’ve stayed before, and the personalized welcome basket for our family was such a sweet gesture! There were Plenty of things to do, but the corn hole boards and card games were definitely our favorite. Amazing communication from the Owners as well! Overall it was a 5 star vacation!!

Family Vacation
This beautiful house had ample room for the 16 of us. The kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare our meals every night. We all loved looking at the mountains from all of the decks and from the living room. It was a short drive to town for the pool and grocery stores. This is a house that we all highly recommend and would stay there again if / when we take our Family vacation back to West Virginia.

Waterfall, mountains, and thoughtfulness - wow!
Simply put, wow! At every turn we experienced breathtaking views, and thoughtful amenities. The home is family friendly and private. From luxurious bathrobes hung on the bathroom door to walking sticks at the beginning of a trail, the owners truly provided everything to make it a relaxing time away. The views are outstanding with the home nestled among mountains, trees, and a beautiful waterfall. Thank you Rick and Corine for your thoughtfulness and generosity in what you provided.

Loved by the whole family!
We felt welcomed and well cared for during our whole stay at Cliffside. Starting with great directions and local recommendations emailed beforehand to the beautiful basket with a personal note welcoming our family to Cliffside! Every room has an incredible view in addition to the many balconies and decks. The onsite trails to the waterfall and stream were great and once we walked down the road we understood why the host listed it as a local hiking option--those of us who enjoy hiking loved being able to hike right out the door! Those who preferred not to hike stayed happily busy playing darts, pool, arcade games, horseshoes, and I know I'm forgetting the other options--there were many! The table in the screened in porch was also a favorite board game location. Our family hopes to return for another visit someday!
