“What a lovely place to stay in Sherborne. Beautifully clean, has everything you could need for your stay. The location is great, walkable to anywhere in town and the added bonus of having the station here for day trips.”

“Matlock Cottage is a lovely everything you need is there beautifully decorated throughout. The only thing that let it down was we coukdnt use the outside cushions as they were dirty where they possibly have been left out and garden table needs replacing as a bit rusty but otherwise great cosy place and helpful host. 10 /10”

“This is not the Ritz - but there are some really good points - it's lovely and quiet - so a good sleep was easy. Take your own towels - ones provided were not great - I would also say take your own bedding. One major for a couple is the double is on a mezz and the toilet is down stairs - this didn't effect me as I was on my own so slept in the single room downstairs. Owner is lovely - and my stay in Sherborne very nice. Lovely place.”

Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity.
