We like the location of the property. Being near the end of a mile long dead end road is peaceful.
The cabin was mostly as advertised. Small, rustic, and realxing. I was finally able to read!
Although, the full size fridge was replaced with a mini, we were able to get ice about 30 minutes away,. So, no big deal.
The critters in the walls at night time were hardly noticable after the 3rd day..
My lovely wife and i are not what you would consider petite. As a result, the bed was pretty saggy in the middle. It kept us from rolling off!
The area around the property was full of history. Burnt up bedsprings, old oil filters, along with scrap metal and wood greeted us at the driveway.
The neighbors were friendly. They would just stand at the end of the driveway, which my dogs absolutely loved.
Glimpses of the lake can be seen from the property. No Lake Access from the property.
It's about a 3 mile drive to the public boat launch.
This place inside was freshly rennovated, and nicely furnished. The kitchen has enough utensils to make meals with, and the charcoal grill on the front porch really helps with meal prep. Do be sure to bring plenty of drinking water, as the water on site is not for drinking, or for making coffee.
All in all, what we needed was a roof over our heads, and a base camp near Copper Harbor. This property served our needs just fine. It may not be suitable for those who require the finer things in life.
