“Stayed at Beach and Bliss for three nights in September. Hotel is located right on the beach. A few steps away. You can't swim there due to the rocks but the hotel has a great pool. ”

“D Canal was the highlight of our hotel stays in Sri Lanka. The decoration at the hotel was beautiful and unique. The chef made his own Mango, papaya and lime jam which was to die for. It was definitely the tastiest breakfast we had during our trip. The pool was very relaxing and the staff couldn’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. There is a free tuk, tuk to and from the property from 10am to 7pm which was very generous. I wish we had stayed longer and will definitely be returning. ”

“There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach”

“Das Zimmer ist groß mit eine Terrasse und das Bett war super. Es ist in eine ruhige Straße mit wenig Verkehr. Zu Strand 5 Min. Gehzeit. Am Hausgang kam sehr laute Geräusche von der Klimaanlage oder der Generator zeitweise.”

“Warm welcome and helpful staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. Only stayed one night due to our itinerary but would happily have stayed on. Didn’t eat breakfast in the property as we had an early start whale watching but they provided a small takeaway breakfast and water which was a nice touch. They also moved our packed luggage out of our room while we were out so we didn’t need to worry about managing this early in the am. Close to the beach and in a quiet location off the main, busy road....
