Location was great! The Grand Sandestin is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. The parking garage allows easy access to your hotel and room, and the pool is just a short walk from the lobby. Baytown Warf is also an easy walk away.
The room needs updating. Yes, the floors are new; however, the rest of the room is out of date. There are nicks, scratches, and paint chips throughout the room.
The beds are extremely soft, and one is particularly noisy. They are on cheap bed frames that stick out from the beds. Be watchful of the corners has one scratched my daughter pretty badly.
The room was quickly and poorly cleaned. There were rings on the bedside tables, a disgusting stain on one of the bed skirts, and a stain on one of the sheets under the pillow. A lightbulb above the sink was out upon arrival which led to very poor lighting in the bathroom. The dishes were also not properly cleaned in the cabinet. There were coffee stains on a mug and food spots left on plates. The closet was messy with large, empty cardboard boxes, a very dirty pillow out of its case, a giant orange bag full of old blankets, and a dirty vacuum. I did not put anything in the closet and instructed my children to stay out of it as well.
I reported these issues upon arrival, and I received a text the next day that someone would come to fix these problems. They did not come. I let them know a 2nd time, said they would come next day, and again, they did not.
I do not recommend this location.
