Ryokans en Minamiizu

“日本の伝統建築を用いつつ、自動ドアがあったり、広く場所をとってあったりして使いやすい工夫があって良かった。段差があるので、足下が不安な人は要注意。ベッドの部屋だったが、シモンズのマットなのがとても良かった。 食事も地元の魚や果物を使っておいしく、温泉の大浴場も気持ちよく使えた。部屋に温泉露天風呂があったので夜中と朝に使ったが、湯船が大きな壺で面白かった。イソヒヨドリの縄張りらしく、朝はイソヒヨドリのオス（お腹が赤い）に威嚇された。　”

“I cannot say enough good things about this inn. It was everything we imagined. There was a person waiting to greet us when we got there (which, honestly, we had never imagined). The meals -- we had a dinner and a breakfast -- were the best and also the fanciest we had while in Japan, full stop. “We had a really lovely stay here. We felt totally immersed in the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The food was both delicious and always beautifully presented. We are really glad that we made this stop as part of our travels around Japan. Mount Fuji was mostly covered in isolated low level cloud, but we did get a gorgeous view once or twice.
