Comfortable, lovely decor, perfect location for our needs
Stayed just under a week in early September. We rented both levels - husband and myself upstairs and two friends downstairs.
The neighborhood feels safe, is within walking proximity to a very nice park, and was quiet. Ample parking either in the street or in the long driveway. Short drive to downtown, Lake Park, and pretty much anywhere we wanted to visit.
Check in was easy.
Each unit of the duplex has a lot of charm, both the architecture and the decor. The mattresses are wonderfully comfortable which was much appreciated since we were in town to compete in a sporting competition.
All linens clean and fresh, basic kitchen utensils (and some staples) provided, laundry area in the basement came in really handy, luggage racks appreciated.
Free WiFi (nice touch to provide a QR code), and multiple apps loaded onto the TVs.
Good water pressure.
The deck is not attached to the house - just a short walk through the backyard and overlooks the river - a lovely spot to relax.
Our only “surprise” was when we received instructions for check in just days before arriving. Not until that time were we informed that the windows in the lower unit should not be opened (due to age). That is understandable, albeit a disappointment that could have been avoided had it been on the listing.
Overall we had an outstanding stay in this beautiful property and feel fortunate that the owners are willing to share it with others.
