the great thing about this property is its proximity to most things in Metz within walking distance. Very clean, has a kitchen, washer and dryer, great aesthetic. You will be hard pressed to find one that is better situated to the nightlife there.
The cons for us were:
-no AC (not usually very hot, but check the weather)
-no elevator, 3rd floor (a lot of stairs and hallway to walk from front door to apt door)
-noisy if the windows are open (which they likely will be in the warmer month) since the apt is directly over bar and restaurants area
-parking (the advice I was given was to park at the cathedral parking, it was 13 euros per night), and is several blocks of walking through restaurant district.
-If you are trying to get dropped off in front of the apt be aware that:
1) you will be blocked by pilons that can be lowered if you call the municipal building at the pilon to explain you are trying to drive to the apt.
2) there are outdoor sitting everywhere in that area, a lot of people walking in very narrow streets aimed at pedestrian, (time your entrance if that is your plan)
- bathroom: the apt has 2 floors, the bedrooms are on the upper floor. There is a shower and sink on upper floor, but the toilet is on lower floor. And the stairs to the 2nd floor are rather thin can be a bit daunting in the dark.
- the washer and dryer are in the downstairs bathroom with the toilet, and while these are running, you will be turning this bathroom into a sauna.
