“After a wonderful one week stay at El Sol Hotel back in February 2025, we were very thankful to return to this lovely local hotel in Addis. Booking our trip to Madagascar meant we had to change flights in Addis and we figured: why not do a 2-day stopover in this Great city and visit some friends?
It felt really amazing to be back at El Sol, with the very dedicated team, all very kind people. It felt like returning home.

“This hotel was everything we needed with a welcome level of good quality. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and I had numerous meetings with people here and in the coffee shop. The room was also great, except several items were not working in the room. In spite of that, we got very good value and will definitely come back here again. The staff offer excellent service.”

“My friend and I stumbled upon the Afropolitan while searching for relatively stable wi-fi in order to work. It was the best in the area, the beds were ridiculously comfortable and the food in the restaurant was delicious! The best thing about our stay, however, was the attentive and helpful owner. He gave us his personal phone number to direct taxis to the hotel. He even sent two members of his staff to help us when my friend got suddenly ill and had to go to hospital. I couldnt recommend this...
“The staff are good at their job. From the airport to the hotel and back to the airport was a smooth transition. Clean rooms and they’ve got a nice lobby and it’s quite spacious. They welcome you with some tea and that’s a good gesture. Highly recommended for travelers. ”

The rooms are clean and spacious with a small balcony ,, the bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful, as well as the dinner I took several times ..

“Great modern hotel, fairly close to the airport. Lots of ATMs a few feet from the property, also lots of restaurants nearby. The onsite restaurant serves good food. Facilities were good, WiFi had good connection, and the bed was really comfy. The staff, especially those manning the front desk were incredibly helpful.
There’s no air conditioning in the rooms though, which wasn’t a problem when i stayed. Though it could be a problem during the summer? Dogs could also be heard barking at night....
