We are just back from an awesome week staying in this well-stocked and perfectly located home. The views from inside and from the deck are incredible. This is a bay beach, so a bit calmer than we are used to, but wow, so beautiful. One day the water is as smooth and calm as glass, and the next, the waves may have white caps. The sand bar goes way out, so you can walk 50 yards and still be ankle deep in places. The town has a few select restaurants and coffee shops, but overall it feels more for locals than vacationers. If you are looking to fish, we caught some massive smallmouth near the dam (wade out on the left side of the bridge and work the bank with a yellow rooster tail). Overall, this was the ideal break for our group of 8. Everyone was comfortable, though the upstairs main bedroom suite was too hot. I'd suggest a small window unit up there during summer months. We loved all the extra bikes (4), canoes (2), kayaks (2 adult, 2 kids). Also, the solo stove for fires on the beach was an impressive touch. This owner does not skimp on the amenities. If you've envisioned a relaxing private lake-front home with a private beach (though just down from a public one) this is truly a special find!
