“The location is fantastic. The outside view is beautiful. This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. It was rainy and then snowed overnight which cut our trip short. The cabin is peaceful and perfect for relaxing and afternoon naps. I highly recommend lunch at The Market, visiting the local antique shops, and The Foglight Foghouse for a more upscale but amazing meal! Owners are great and fantastic communication!”

“8 of us traveled to The Haven for a girls knitting weekend. We had a wonderful time. We had a problem lighting the fireplace which was explained to us over the phone and fixed quickly. We hope to do this again next year. SSKs”

“The property was just as advertised. Furnishings were clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 people or more and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was very restful and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.”

“We stayed for the weekend and it happened to snow overnight. This house was great for relaxing but we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors because of the cold and snow which was unfortunate. We had looked forward to sitting on the porch and by the fire pit as well as walking the trails. The house was warm and cozy with everything you could need. ”

“A very efficient place that comfortably slept 6 of us. The bunk beds are especially useful, though the lack of outlets in each bunk is a big miss.Only underwhelming part was the cleanliness when we arrived. Cleaners missed trash in the loft and fire pit. And we had to rewash many of the dishes in the cabinets because they were either not washed or not washed well.”

“The cabin is spacious and clean. It is well-furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking, including a pizza stone with a serving rack. The area is quiet and peaceful. There are a few things to note:1) lack of pantry space. We stayed for a few days and when unpacking noticed all of the cabinets were full and had to store our dry goods on the counter and shelf on the wall of the dining area. It is a personal thing for me as it made the space feel cluttered.2) Blinds in...

“Hillside Have provided us with perfect place to relax just after our 50th wedding anniversary and celebration. The nicely furnished , well decorated abode in the midst of natural surroundings and incredible landscaping plus abundant amenities was quite enjoyable! A soft breeze while sitting in the swing at sunset was the prefect setting for planning some future trips. We are sure Hillside Haven will be a return spot for us! 10 out of 10 rating as it exceeded or expectations.”

“Great overall. Large space for everyone to spread out. Great kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. Beautiful views of the lake. Bathroom floors and rugs need to cleaner. Outdoor trash container needs to be larger for family stays. Outdoor terrain and indoor steps were worrisome for kids and elderly folks. ”

“Highly recommend this cabin. Have stayed at several cabins in NC and TN, this one was super clean, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Would have loved to stay longer. Driveway is a bit steep for regular cars, our Jeep had no problem though. Amazing patio, perfect for grilling or relaxing.”

“A quick trip but the house was so cozy, clean and perfect location! Literally nothing negative to say at all! The basement area was perfect for our tweens and teens. The fireplace and Christmas tree is a wonderful touch. Having two washers and two dryers was handy! Loved this house and will be back!”
