This is a quintessential New England Cottage with grey shaker shingles, clapboard siding, and a cathedral ceiling. Inside has just enough space for a couple to relax after a day of combing the beach or browsing the nearby shops. There is a cozy patio with a clear view of the ocean in the distance. You are steps from the beach with spectacular sunrises and views of a moonlit ocean. Although we enjoyed the property and the area very much, there are a few things that could be improved. Please be aware, the cottages are very close to each other, and unfortunately, we had an annoying beeping sound next door. We contacted the owner about this, but it wasn't resolved--and we know it wasn't the owner's fault--so we eventually got used to it! Because of the close proximity to the neighbors, we would have preferred a window covering on the back door. Also be aware that there isn't a Keurig coffee pot, so you'd have to buy coffee for a traditional coffeemaker, which isn't a major issue. Next, clearer instructions for renters would be helpful--where the parking pass is located, turning on the heat, trash disposal, where the linens needed to go before we left, and more clarification about the key code (we figured it out eventually). The lack of wifi signal was a concern for us, as we have a disabled son and weren't able to stay in contact with him. But the pros outweigh the cons. The cottage was kept immaculate, and many conveniences are provided. The furniture is especially comfortable. And most activities are all a short drive away. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience!
