“We had the most incredible stay at Casita Tucan. Starting with the check in process- so smooth and the hosts were extremely accommodating letting us leave our luggage in the main office before check in so we could go explore. Staying in this house is an experience unlike anywhere else. You are quite literally in the jungle. “This place is beautiful and exactly how the pictures depict. The pool is a perfect temperature to cool off from the hot humid heat at any time of the day. The landscaping around the property is absolutely gorgeous and picturesque. I would recommend this property to anyone with a few caveats we were not aware of until we were actually there: The lights for the outside and pool area are timed and turn off at 10pm and there is not way to turn them back on. “This place is impossible to explain. You have to be there to know how magical it is. The wildlife is so dense it could be scary for some people. The big tree has about a hundred Oropendola nests in it, and a Green Macaw nest. The tree next to it has a pair of Bat Falcons nesting in it. The first night we were there we heard big cats in the woods real close to the house. We also saw a couple of snake species, and more beautiful poison dart frogs than we could count.
