“One week before arrival i replied to the emails send by vacasa/vrbo; 3 emails to ask for local persons contact. Did not receive any reply on the emails. So we had to wait by the gate. Had to call to vacasa USA, several calls, a mess. Once entered the property, big was the surprise when we saw the walls full of dirty traces in all chambers! Oxidation from the fans made a complete mess. Bedsheets, walls, all full of sprinkled oxidation. Also only 1 towel per person for the whole stay (4days!)...

“Casa Makai is a beautiful property with an incredible ocean/jungle view & very comfortable furnishings. The filtered water system was a treat, allowing us to fill our water bottles and drink directly from the tap, reducing unnecessary plastic waste. It is secured behind a private gate & monitored overnight by an on-sight security guard, (which didn't seem necessary as everyone in town was exceptionally kind and trustworthy). Josefina, the property manager, went above and beyond in every way...
