“Four of us (two couples) came to Mandeville for the Wooden Boat Festival taking place in Madisonville. The house is perfect with a great location, very clean, and supplied with all the utensils that you would need. It is also just down the street from several restaurants and our favorite, Rip's On The Lake. We will definitely book this again on our next trip to the North Shore.”

“My 11 yr old granddaughter saw this listing and begged to stay “at the castle house”. The “castle” is a unique, one of a kind 3 story house, at the end of a trail through the woods. Please be aware that the dirt road and narrow trail to the house might not be suited for small cars. (We have a full sized truck.) “We loved everything about this house! The property was beautiful with amazing views. We even saw a gator. The house itself was great and location was good for visiting New Orleans. The only complaint I have was the pillows. They were very thin. The bed itself was comfortable. I would also suggest more and updated patio furniture and a grill. It's a beautiful deck and could be more inviting. If we are in the area again i would stay again and will recommend to friends who travel. ”

“What a great oasis—this was the perfect place for our adult family of five to get away from our busy lives. The outdoor spaces are comfortable and there was plenty of things to do without leaving the property. Excellent restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive meant we only went into the city once. “Went to celebrate a family members milestone birthday. Plenty of room for all of us and the pier was terrific. A/C worked great which was a huge plus in sweltering heat. No hot water first day but owner was quick to respond and it was back up and running on day 2. There were tvs in most of the rooms but couldn't find remote controls. Lots of restaurants and groceries nearby. Very close to train tracks so bring earplugs.”

“We enjoyed our stay. We were greeted by the sweetest dog, Flash. The house was clean and well decorated. It was very quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable. Communication with the owners was easy. The only thing to make mention of is that the bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom so for those that get up at night for “little trips” know you will have to go downstairs. ”

“Loved the rental! They had everything you could want. We were in town for a soccer tournament and didn’t get to spend a ton of time at the cottage. The pool was great, even though it was cold.
