"Hobson’s Choice is where I stay when I have to overnight in Dargaville as they have kept up their standards over the years. Each time I am there they have some small improvement and this time it was a heat pump in the room."

"Typical 1800's Country Town Pub. Showing wear and tear, but it was a quaint experience. The dining room is the best part of the hotel. Friendly local people. We had a quiet night and slept well in our room. The water is nice and hot, plus ability to boil a jug in the kitchenette."

"Felt right at home. Couldn't get to the beach (possibly due to tides) but Kaiiwi Lakes were a lovely surprise on a hot afternoon. Well appointed and comfortable"
