The most diseased hotel in Missouri
No one in lobby waited for an hour. Yes, an hour. Hotel looked like it should be condemned. Horrible smell. We left and never saw a single person to help us. Customer came out of room to tell us he waited 2 hours until someone came to help. I was already walking out sure to the diseased condition. I have requested my money back, but costumer service couldn't get a hold of anyone at hotel, surprise, surprise. Am hoping I've gotten my money back, will check soon.

We were booked to stay for two nights during our hunting trip over this past weekend. When we returned from hunting Saturday evening, it said closed on the door so we could not get in to get our belongings and had no where to stay. We called the police to get our stuff, but they couldn't unlock the place. We had to drive all the way home that evening. So we didn't get to stay Saturday evening and they also have our belongings which includes clothes, carhart shirts, etc. Can't believe a business is allowed to do this and can get away with it. They also took a picture of my driver's license when we checked in and when I asked why they were doing that. He responded to steal my identity. Terrible experience!

The hotel wasn't open for business. There were no cars on the property but the front door was open. Inside a message said pick up the phone and someone would assist you. No one ever answered. There was a lot of construction work being done. Big sign out front said 'under new management'. YOU SHOULD REMOVE THIS FACILITY FROM YOUR SITE!!

Hotel shut down the day of stay
I found a room at this hotel online, rented a room, drove 10 min to the hotel only to find the doors closed, locked, lights off, and signs all over the doors that they have closed.

DO NOT BOOK HERE - NO STAFF, RUN BY GUEST
DO NOT BOOK HERE. Apparently everyone quit or got fired a few weeks ago. No staff was there, rooms were all open but covered in junk and bugs, and a cop showed up to tell us a guest took over the hotel earlier in the week and was renting rooms out by month since the owner is out of state and didn't care. Unprecedented and unpredictable.

There were no sheets on the bed or blankets just a flat and a fancy cover. No heat in the room. Towels had holes in them. No soap. Tv didnt work. Nothing was plugged in or working. It was a crappy hotel.

Disgusting. Room had obviously been “used” prior to our arrival. Evidence was all over the bedspread and dirty rags on the floor. Wouldn’t have stayed in another room there had I been offered… Nowhere else to stay in town that night. Drove 1.5 hours out of way to next closest room.

Non-existent.
I began calling the hotel at 6pm to advise of a late check-in. We arrived at 12:45 am. There was no one at the desk. We called, looked around, knocked on doors, etc. I called every hotel in Kirksville, MO and every hotel was booked. Eventually I called the local police because I was afraid something terrible happened to the hotel staff. The police had heard from a number of guests and the entire hotel staff quit. I asked if we could sleep in the police parking lot in our vehicle for a few hours. The police even called hotels within a 40 mile radius and all were booked. So we drive back home and my daughter missed her college tour. I would like a refund.

Very Unhappy Customer
There was no staff at the hotel at check in they had quit and a guest was helping customers. I went to the local police station to report this and apparently this is not the first time this has happened so I'm contacting my Credit Card and doing a dispute for the charges. I would suggest that you take this hotel off your website. We didn't stay there and didn't feel safe and had to find a different hotel and that was difficult because all the hotels in town were booked.

Staff acted surprised we were coming, did not have a room ready, said we would need to stay in a single because they were out of rooms, room was missing TV, shower curtain, smoke detector, wash clothes. Pretty bad.

We paid in advance and then when we arrived the evening of our stay they didn't have the room we had paid for. They ended up giving us a single bed which we took since there was nothing else available. Not even cups or anything in the room to get a drink of water. Definitely won't stay here again. Disappointed is an understatement.

I wasn’t given a room key upon arriving. A random couple (guests!!!!!) let my into my room. When I came back from dinner they had to let me in with what I assume is a master key. Guests having access to my room feels unsafe, and I still haven’t received my card.

1. Check-in: The staff member was on a personal phone call and continued on the call through most of the check-in process. 2. Provided a room that was not clean. Beds were made and that is about it. The sheets had paste on them, the bathroom was dirty, the table was covered in guck. 3. Second room was cleaner but still not great. Looked as if never dusted. No mattress cover only a sheet. Towels were a step down from rags. Faucet did not have a handle. Gave staff a 2 only because they gave us a new room. Otherwise, they were sitting in the lobby which was dirt

Mattress had only a mattress pad, flat sheet that barely covered the top, and a thin bedcover. Bathroom linens included two washcloths, one towel, one hand towel, and a bath mat, all of which were old and stained. No trashcan in the room or bathroom. Electrical outlet was loose and caused the light to flicker when plugging in another item. Floor was not vacuumed and had trash on it. But there were no bugs, the a/c worked, and there was an extra roll of toilet paper.

I would not recommend this hotel, every other hotel in town had no available parking and this place had an empty parking lot, once I walked in I found out why! Dirty, musty with no refund signs on several walls in multiple places. I chose not to stay, manager told me that he could not refund me and I was more than happy to lose my money rather than stay.

Booked a room with double beds. Upon check-in I was informed that no rooms with double beds were available and that only a room with one king bed was available. With two travelers needing separate beds this was an issue. All other rooms at nearby hotels were booked up so we had to settle for the king bed room. No comforter on bed and sheets had visible stains. Nightstand had spilled liquid/dried up stains and an obvious amount of dust which had clearly not been cleaned in awhile. It appeared that a lower section of the lobby area was being used for a personal living situation by management as there were counters full of bowls, cookers, and other cooking utensils—all in plain sight. Would not recommend staying here to anyone.
