“What a well equipped, comfortable welcoming property. Location walkable over the burrows to the beach with a surf board or the kids with their buckets and spades. The house has ample space and different areas to relax. Big dinner table to get all 12 of us around. Bedrooms comfy and homely. Kids were excited by the Bus bunk beds and the Teepee. Lots of jigsaws and things for the kids to do. Cooker brilliant for feeding a large group, plenty of pans & equipment which I’ve often found a...

“My first impression was of surprise to the location. I don't remember reading any warning about anyone having mobility issues. The pathway and steps are very steep, and the surface and steps could be better. I did have a fall, thankfully I didn't hurt myself. Perhaps a hand rail. Inside the property you could say was well lived in. We wouldn't expect it to be clinically clean but it could so with a little spruce up. The Fridge wasn't the cleanest, with black bits floating in the water dispenser....

“The house size and location worked really well for us as we stayed with friends and their kids. There were beautiful walks from the village and we really liked the local pub. The property had a cottage feel but this meant there wasn't much sound insulation from the busy road in two of the bedrooms. The garden and terraced area out the front was better than we thought and was great to hang washing out and the kids to play.”

“Stunning views of Woolacombe beach. Although the garden doesn’t back directly onto the beach, there is a cut-through with some steps which takes you to the sand on no time. A beautiful property and the hot tub is a real bonus!”

“We had a lovely stay at the Lower Spires. The cottages were pleasant to stay in. They were clean, and fully equipped. The garden was beautiful and perfect for our dogs to run around and play. The area was also very beautiful. It was very quiet but there were plenty of things to do. The information we received from James in advance was very useful. we had a wonderful time in the Lower Spires and if we return to Exmoor we will certainly book the cottages again!”
