House was clean, most everything provided. Driveway is partially washed out in spots but a high clearance vehicle should make it fine. We did not need to use 4 WD.

Best vrbo ever!

I've stayed at quite a few rentals and hotels, and this is my favorite. It's definitely a bit off the grid, which makes it all the more private and charming. The views are breathtaking, and the layout of the house is perfect for a family...but it'd be lovely for a couple's or solo retreat, too! Our visit included three adults and two kids (10 and 12), but I appreciate that there are baby gates, a pack n play, and a high chair for guests with younger children. My kiddos especially loved the air hockey table and swingset. The house was exceptionally clean and the shower was hot and had great pressure, which I wasn't expected for a more rural location. All the appliances worked well. The host provided clear instructions, was incredibly responsive, and the price was fair considering the amenities and area. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this location unless they really don't like nature. We will absolutely be back!

Peace and quiet

We enjoyed our visit to the valley. The river was the focal point, fishing, rafting, cooking over the fire. We had a pleasant stay. Thank you.

Family fun

The property is very nice. Extremely clean and well stocked with lots of linens. We did not use the blow up rafts or kayaks. There is a place an about a mile away that rented rafts for the day with pick up locations. By looking at the pictures I thought we would be closer to the river. Not being able to see the river was our only disappointment.

Great Family Getaway!

Loved the property and having space for the kids to run and play. Perfect location for visiting Luray and Shenandoah. Hosts were great and super responsive. Would stay again!

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I stayed at the property for our anniversary. It was the perfect spot to get away from the city, unplug, and unwind. The owner is incredibly responsive. Check-in was a breeze. The property is exactly as described/ pictured. We’re already planning another trip.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

We loved our time at the Secluded Mountain Retreat! The property is gorgeous and the house is spacious and homey. Everything was very clean and it's evident the host cares about guests having a positive experience. There were many little activities or games that my kids enjoyed and nice extra touches. The hot tub was well cared for and relaxing. We loved seeing deer and turkeys in the yard and my children loved the playset. The kitchen had everything we needed and I appreciated that there was even child plates, a high chair, and a pack n play. The house is a little far from things to do, but we enjoyed the country setting and the view. I highly recommend it!

Thanksgiving Stay

We really enjoyed our stay in the house. It is exactly as pictured except even quieter and more peaceful. It's very remote but still only twenty minutes from shopping in Luray. House was well stocked with all of the essentials and made for a nice break in the country.

Beautiful views, nice quiet house

We loved our weekend at this house! It’s quiet, pretty remote, and the view is incredible. I could have spent the entire weekend on the deck looking out over the mountains. Ashok was very kind and communicative, and their house is a great place for a getaway.

Beautiful home with Gorgeous View!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this luxurious home, particularly the mountain view and secluded area. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and it was our favorite place that we stayed in on this trip. We wish we could have stayed longer. We loved the front porch with its mountain view and the back porch with the hot tub and string lights that came on at night. The kitchen not only had enough items for cooking, but also had some spices and other useful items. The bathroom towels were not hung in the bathrooms upon arrival, but we found them in a closet. The host was responsive when we had a question. There are a few bugs here and there, mostly outside the windows, but that's to be expected when one is in a country/forest area. We highly recommend this place!

Annual Girls' Tubing Trip/Getaway

Great location as we were tubing on the Shenandoah at SRO just down the road. Quiet and serene, we really enjoyed the beautiful surrounding nature from the patio and hot tub. Well equipped home and the host was very attentive and responsive via text/email. Our only regret is that we never tried the karaoke machine! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Gorgeous Stay

Awesome Place

Loved staying here for the week. House was even better than it looked in the pictures, property was nice and secluded. Super easy to find and had lots of cute flowers blooming. Was nice and clean and the owner was always quick and polite with responding. Cell service was very spotty but there's wifi its not like you're unable to communicate if needed.There were also deer out front almost every morning which was interesting. All in all, it was a very nice vacation. Would definitely recommend this place if you want a getaway.

Wonderful, secluded getaway

This house is secluded, but is very comfortable with contemporary accommodations. Our toddler enjoyed exploring the dozens of acres of the property, as well as the playset and swings.

Awesome secluded property - Yet not too far off the beaten path.

My family and I enjoyed an awesome stay here. Excellent accommodations and amenities. Beautiful master bedroom, tranquil property/surroundings, and the fire-pit was a must-do in the evenings. It's peacefully secluded, yet only about a 20-30 minute drive to down-town Luray. If in the area - Don't miss Luray Caverns or Skyline Drive.

Luray getaway

The house was clean & easy to check in. The owner was very informative & responsive. The listing indicates wi-fi, but the wi-fi was limited to text messaging & routing with maps. Overall, we enjoyed the house & our stay & would stay again.
