“The house has a lovely view across the bay and is close to the ferry as well as cafes and the local hotel for evening meals. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, but the kitchen is poorly equipped if you do choose to stay in for a meal. There was also a problem with the pump, which needed to be reset frequently.”

We didn't get much of a chance to use the deck and see some sunsets because of the weather which was a shame as we could see it would be spectacular. Great location. “We booked this accommodation as a 4-day fieldwork base. The mill house has its idiosyncrasies. As long as you set your expectations for camping conditions in a remote part of the world, you will find the structure to be sufficient. The location is spectacular and the jetty is very impressive. All team members expressed their satisfaction with their stay and would book it again for similar work.”

“Barnes Bay on Bruney Island, Tasmania, is a fabulous location to de-stress and relax. The house is on the water, surrounded by wildlife, and very private. Massive glass windows allow you to take in the water views from most rooms in the house. It is fitted out nicely, and the kitchen is great.”
