La eminencia se define como un lugar alto y elevado, un área elevada de tierra, un pedazo de terreno elevado.

No hay mejor palabra para describir la ubicación de esta increíble propiedad. El hogar personalizado, construido en 2009, está situado en lo alto de un acantilado, sobre una playa privada con acceso a escaleras, a pocos minutos de Ludington, y ofrece impresionantes vistas del lago Michigan desde casi todas las habitaciones. Agosto de 2017 Nota: debido a una tormenta reciente, las escaleras de la comunidad a la playa actualmente no son seguras y no están disponibles para su uso. El nivel del agua ha subido tanto que no pueden repararse hasta al menos la primavera de 2019.

 Hay cuatro habitaciones, incluidas dos suites principales, ambas con camas tamaño king y baños completos. El dormitorio principal en el piso principal brinda acceso directo a su propia área de descanso privada en la terraza trasera con vista al lago, invitándolo a la primera taza de café del día. Además de las suites, hay otras dos habitaciones, una con una cama queen y otra con cuatro camas individuales, que comparten el tercer baño completo en el nivel superior. También hay una zona de loft amueblada con un sofá cama doble.

La cocina está magníficamente equipada para todas sus necesidades de cocina y comedor. También hay un espacio para cocinar al aire libre y una hoguera, perfecto para s'mores mientras observa otra espectacular puesta de sol reflejada desde el lago al final del día.

Disfrute de la amplia sala de estar para entretenerse o simplemente relájese frente a la chimenea y TV de pantalla plana de 50 pulgadas. La casa está habilitada para WiFi y viene equipada con lavadora y secadora también. Todas las comodidades del hogar te esperan!

Nota: Compramos esta casa en noviembre de 2015 y compramos todos los muebles nuevos. No hay bodas o eventos. Un máximo de 12 invitados. Nuestros vecinos son residentes de tiempo completo y nuestros huéspedes deben respetar las líneas de propiedad en todo momento.

A Slice of Heaven
Before I talk about the house and property, I commend the ease and promptness of communication with Heidi, the home owner. She was pleasant and helpful with all questions and communications. The home was clean and nicely decorated. The back wall of the home was all windows, giving you a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, no matter where you were on the first floor. The beds in all of the bedrooms were comfortable and lent to very restful sleep, especially if you opened a window and listened to the waves hitting the beach.the kitchen was well stocked with flatware and cookware. There was a nice sized fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs and there were Duraflame starters supplied to make starting a fire very easy. We enjoyed two evenings of fires with a beautiful view of the moon reflecting on the lake. We had visitors daily from a brood of deer that seemed to live nearby. The drive to Ludington was a short 10 minute drive. So, grocery stores, drugstores and restaurants as well as shops and galleries were nearby. All of those things lead to a fantastic vacation on the shore of Lake Michigan. We highly recommend this wonderful property and are grateful to Heidi for sharing her home with us. beautiful getaway
we stayed for my mom's 70th birthday. It was a beautiful home with a beautiful view. The house was great. It was clean and well stocked with what is needed in the kitchen. There were goodies like local treats in the kitchen and soaps for the bathroom. The firepit was great. We spent a lot of time outside. We used the grill. The beds were comfy. The beach close by was lovely, and when we went we almost had it all to ourselves. It was off-season so it was challenging at times to find shops and restaurants. Hosts were very helpful in that regard. It was a great stay; sure we'll return.

Perfect family getaway
We really enjoyed our stay - our first visit to Lake Michigan and the sunsets around the fire pit were by far the highlight of the trip. The house is very well outfitted with everything we needed to be able to cook during our stay. The beds were very comfortable and my kids enjoyed the ping-pong table downstairs.

Perfect Place to Stay in Ludington
We are a group of 3 middle-aged adult sibling and spouses/significant others, no kids. We enjoyed being 10 minutes from everything in downtown Ludington, yet far enough away to feel private and at a "get-away". The owners are great to communicate with and made good on all they advertised. We all felt it was clean, very comfortable, well-appointed throughout, beautiful yet casual. When not in town we like to hang out and socialize. The comfortable couches, large dining table, spacious, cobweb-free waterfront porch and of course the large firepit gave us plenty of options to chill and chat. There is also nook-spaces to have a little solitude or private time. Lake Michigan provided a beautiful scene all day and night. Watching boats, the local ferry to Wisconsin (Badger), ships, ducks and gulls, gorgeous sunsets and morning fog, and even an awe-inspiring lightning show one evening. Even the wildlife was great. We had a couple deer mosey through the backyard early one morning and dozens of dragonflies buzzing around the backyard eating what few mosquitoes existed during the afternoon. We travel a lot and are ones who will say when something is bad or not up to our standards. Eminence exceeded our standards and made our family gathering perfect in all the ways a location can. We all highly recommend it.

Disappointing
Property had a ring camera on the back porch that was not disclosed to us beforehand. The camera made noise every time we passed it saying we were on camera. Disappointing because we mostly hung out in the backyard and now we know we may have been watched the whole time. Hosts admitted to us after the fact that they were unaware the camera's notifications were turned on. Hosts also charged us $50 after the fact an additional tip for their cleaner on top of the cleaning fee paid at the time of booking.

Wonderful stay at this lovely home!!
From the moment we opened the front door we were all delighted with this beautiful home! Every room is welcoming and decorated to give a cozy feel. It was very clean and well stocked with all we needed. It was so peaceful to sit on the softly lit back porch in the evening or around the fire pit overlooking Lake Michigan from the bluff. There were 10 of us in our family and we liked having plenty of room and tables for games inside and out. The location is perfect, and we visited Ludington, Pentwater and Hart which were all nearby. Heidi is a wonderful host and got right back to us with any questions. We all loved our stay at Eminence and hope to come back again!!

Eminence, a perfect description of the property/home!
Eminence is a gorgeous, beautifully decorated, well appointed and clean home with a very welcoming feel! Heidi is an excellent communicator who responds kindly and quickly to any questions you may have! The Meylan family’s property has amazing views of Lake Michigan! We spotted the Badger coming in and going out several times! Over our numerous trips to Ludington we have taken just about every cruise the Badger has to offer and enjoyed all! Viewing the fireworks from the Badger is very fun experience! Our favorite places to eat in Ludington are Stix and Jamesport Brewing! We would recommend going on the earlier side of meal time, especially if you have young children with you, as both places can get quite busy…at least that was true over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Amazing
From the moment we walked in the door we were wowed. The property was amazing and felt like home. The views from the back porch were so beautiful. We spent much of time sitting on the porch, watching sunrises, enjoying mid day sunshine and watching the sun fall into the sparkling lake. It was a close distance to town which was convenient. The owners were easy to communicate with and have a gem in this property.

Beautiful home and breathtaking views!
The property is the perfect oasis with the most stunning views of Lake Michigan up on the bluff. Heidi is very communicative and they want their guests to feel right at home. The beach access is about a mile down the street, the neighborhood is small and was quiet during our stay. I loved this property so much that I booked another trip to this home before I even left! Thank you Heidi and Wayne for sharing such a beautiful piece of Michigan lakeshore and opening up your vacation home for others to enjoy.

We Love Eminence
I think this was the fourth time we’ve visited and we are never disappointed. The house is immaculate and the views are beautiful. If you need something to do, restaurants and activities are a short drive into town. My kids (8 and 11) love staying here and list Eminence as one of their favorite places. Winter is a special time to visit because it’s so peaceful and relaxing with snow flurries, the lake, and visits from deer… it almost feels a little magical. Also… the owners always add extra touches. I was obsessed with the goat milk bar soap this time. Can’t recommend this house enough!

Family Reunion
We had a wonderful week! There were 6 adults in our group. We were all very comfortable. Each couple had our own room along with our own bathroom. The view is breathtaking! The house was decorated beautifully and the furnishings were very comfortable. It would be a great set up for families with kids. The basement has a ping pong table and seating. We did a couple trip to view the beautiful colors. Would love to return!
