We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo.”

Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. “My friend and I stayed here two nights and it was such a great stay, the apartment was super nice, the hosts were extremely welcoming and accommodating, and the area was really gorgeous. It’s a great place to stay if you plan on going in to Galway during the day, but having a car is pretty essential. We stayed at four other places during our trip to Ireland but this was the best place we stayed at by far.”

“This was just a marvelous place to stay. The house was a great location and equipped with you need. All the information we received was spot on accurate. We had great Irish weather - sunny some days, windy and rainy others. The School House was like a safe harbor. Plenty to do in the area - hiking, shopping, great food at local restaurants, convenient grocery shopping. Thanks to the owners. A great memory. ”

“The cottage is located in an area where you can discover many beautiful areas by car. The cottage has all the bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room on the ground floor. “This place is just perfect. The surroundings and the views are splendid, at the end of a beautiful road, making you feel that you are alone (even if Letterfrack is quite close).
