Paikka on tosi kylmä noin 1 km korkeudella merenpinnasta, tosi jyrkän pikkutien varrella, rajuja korkeuseroja. Huoneistossa ei ole oikeaa lämmitystä, vain yksi liikuteltava patteri ja valtava takka, joka ei varaa lämpöä lainkaan. Millään tavalla päivystävää vastaanottoa, saati edes henkilöä ei ole paikalla. Vanhahko, ainoastaan espanjaa puhuva mies toimii alueella silloin tällöin, englanninkielistä apua ei ole saatavilla. Huonesiivousta ei ole: itse hakkaat puut takkaan isoista pölleistä ja siivoat oman ahkeruutesi mukaan. Kuvat netissä ovat oikeat, mutta ne eivät kerro esimerkiksi paikan korkeuseroista. Keittiövarustus on oikea ja hyvä, mutta kuumaa vettä ei tule kunnolla; ensin pitää laskea kuumasta hanasta HUKKAAN puhdasta vettä 15-20 litraa, ennen kuin lämmintä vettä alkaa tulla ja kun hanan sulkee vähäksi aikaa, on tehtävä sama vesihukka taas. Kuinka tämä voi olla mahdollista, kun Teneriffalla on PULAA puhtaasta vedestä!! Tämä majoituspaikka ei ole missään nimessä hintansa arvoinen.

A 'rustic' and questionable 3 star accommodation..

We booked 7 nights in Feb '17 preferring a walking and exploring type holiday. First thing to say is you definitely need a car to stay here and a sat nav/ phone to find it. On arriving we had to call and were met 15 mins later by a very nice chap but who did not speak a word of English. Our Spanish is minimal so this is in no way a complaint, it is just a very different first impression from your typical resort. It meant the following 10 mins was a kind of charade type miming which, at the end of a long journey, felt a little tedious. When I asked about the restaurant (website says 300 meters away), he just shook his head and then signalled somehow there was a shop down the road. OK, we were getting somewhere but disappointed the website had lied. Perhaps my fault but I got the impression it was self catered lodge in the same location as a hotel (La Traquera) which had a bar and a restaurant. Wrong. No such thing. Then we looked around our lodge to find the bath was filthy, the shower took 20 minutes to heat, each room had an electric heater as it was so cold (not their fault of course, just check the difference in temp on the island beford you decide on an area), the bedroom had spiders, the electrics tripped 3 times in 10 mins (couldn't handle microwave and 2 heaters on simultaneously), no WiFi in lodge (only in WiFi room) , an adapter plug (with heater and lamp) sparked and melted in the wall, and only given a toilet roll to get you started (eg no salt or cooking oil).

A charmingly rustic hotel

To get the only negatives out of the way first; there was no Wi-Fi, no one to greet us when we arrived, and for a couple there was no seating together - two separate arm chairs and split beds. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay. Consider when booking that the hotel is split over two sites and of a rustic nature. We enjoyed chopping our own firewood, cooking on the fire and that we were well off the beaten track. Staff were really friendly, the kitchen was well stocked with equipment - juicer, blender, coffee machine, fridge, cooker. Overall a great place to stay to get away from it all.

jeg valgte hotellejligheden fordi der stod der var fri wi-fi - der var ingen wi-fi jeg valgte hotellejligheden fordi der stod velassorteret køkken, det var der ikke - det var nærmest povert. Det var ualmindeligt bøvlet at kontakte ejerne for at advisere ankomst og få nøgle - telefonnummer var forkert, og jeg skulle hele tiden ringe til andre på andre tidspunkter.

Peaceful hillside getaway!

Hard to find but road signs help, this hotel is worth finding! The room size was huge with a well stocked kitchen and cozy fireplace with freefirewood onsite
