“Came for a local wedding. Knowing the area, we couldn’t be more excited that this was available. Fantastic amenities (inside and out) and extremely responsive/helpful host. All amenities listed available. Parking on site and easy enough access to Chama for any needs. Wish it was more convenient to get out this way from UT, will definitely be back as soon as we can. ”

“I don’t think there is enough space to list all of the great qualities of this property!! First of all the cabin is amazing! It was just the right size for the two of us and had everything we could possibly need. It is beautifully built with the perfect mix of modern meets nature. I don’t think you could get closer to the Conejos River without being IN it!! The sounds, the smells and the scenery exceeded expectations! We even heard, and then saw, a bull elk rounding up his cows one morning....

“The Getaway is a gem! Nestled among the pines with a meadow to view deer and other wildlife as you enjoy your morning coffee on the porch. The access to “The Getaway” is not complicated. When we arrived the front porch welcomed us to sit and relax. As we walked through the front door we felt calm and at peace. The decor and furniture is inviting and well appointed. The kitchen, fireplace, bedrooms and bathrooms had everything we needed for our three night stay.”

“We were just two fishing buddies looking for a convenient place to operate out of for several days of fishing in northern MN and southern CO. We were surprised to discover we had the WHOLE inn to ourselves! PLENTY of room; we could easily have had several more people with us. It was roomy, rustic, and very comfortable; more than we were looking for and we suspect we'll be back next season. Would recommend in a heartbeat.”
