Secluded cabin close to hiking
We enjoyed our peaceful, secluded stay at the Ponderosa. The house had everything we needed. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking and we loved seeing the deer in the fields everyday. The host let us know the cabin was ready early for checkin and provided contact info if we needed anything additional (which we didnt). The contactless checkin process was simple and the directions to the property were accurate. There was another house that shared the same driveway, but we did not encounter any other cars on the long driveway during our stay.

Weekend escape
Beautiful cabin well maintained really enjoyed the hot tub on the porch Location was very peaceful and quiet.The only negative was the driveway to the cabin.

Very nice cabin, great host!
My daughter and her new husband stayed at the cabin as a short honeymoon getaway. The first morning of their stay the electric was off in the area but the host was extremely helpful. She definitely made up for it. We would definitely stay again. extra

Such a find!
We certainly enjoyed the quiet cabin and perfect hosts, but the bonus for us was the open field where our dog could run free. He LOVED it and I loved watching him! Also, Patrick made a special trip to replenish our coffee supply, a must-have in our morning routine! Thank you Patrick and Hannah for. your excellent customer service!

Star Gazing for Meteors
This nice private cabin gave us a perfect place to get away from the city lights to enjoy the Perseid Meteor Showers. The free John Glenn Astronomy Park program was only a mile away.

Great hidden spot
The Ponderosa was the perfect spot for a weekend away. Secluded, lots of wildlife, a trail near to cabin, hot tub was perfect after hiking all day!

Our stay
Really enjoyed the privacy. Close to the things we wanted to do.. Would suggest.. new mattress, water pressure in shower, and we couldn't the water in the hot tub to heat past 80.. maybe a new frying pan.. Over all. We'd stay again!!

Sweet Little Cabin
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was so close to Hocking Hills. The property was private and peaceful. The cabin was clean, the kitchen was decently stocked and the hot tub was clean and clear.

Great Remote Cabin Close to Hiking Trails
We spent three nights at Ponderosa with our nephew and his daughter. We really enjoyed the remoteness of the cabin at the top of a hill. We saw lots of deer. We spent mornings and afternoons hiking and then soaked in the hot tub in the evenings. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed.

Nice little cabin
The cabin is really cute. The driveway is a bit rough if you don't have a truck or SUV. I do wish that both beds did not have really firm mattresses, not everyone likes a firm mattress. If at least one was bed had a more comfortable mattress, it would have been nicer. I think there should also be a mirror added somewhere else besides just the one in the bathroom. The property is very secluded, and you get to see the deer in the evening. It's really close to Old Man's Cave, which was awesome! Very peaceful and close to Hocking Hills made it a great place to stay.

Relaxing enjoyable time away from home.
My wife and I had a great time in Hocking Hills. Minutes away. Our dog came with us and enjoyed watching the big dogs( deer) at the bottom of rhe drive way. We had a great time and are planning a trip back with our grand children.

Perfect for a couple and their dog
The property sits in top of a hill right next to the woods. It had all the basic necessities and was great to be able to allow our dog to run around off leash. The hot tub was a nice treat after canoeing and hiking. We enjoyed the privacy and relaxing atmosphere. And it turned out to be the perfect romantic trip for a surprise engagement!

Great Private Cabin
My cousin and I met to get together for a few days. The cabin was very nice. Hot tub was great, and the deer and the bears were fun to watch from afar! The bath tub still is slow to drain.

Perfect location, comfy and cozy
This was the perfect cabin for a long weekend in Hocking Hills with my son. It has everything you need at an affordable price: comfy beds, plush couches, hot shower, kitchen and A/C. Plus the hot tub!! It was so perfect after days of hiking. The cabin is definitely nestled down a winding drive; it made you feel so private, peaceful, quiet, serene. However, it’s maybe only a mile around the corner from the State Park and less than 10 minutes from most major trail heads. I would definitely stay there again and bring the rest of the family.
