Blinds were missing from Windows, surfaces had not been cleaned, the kitchen was missing many essential items such as forks, broken glass outside the back door, last guests dirty laundry left in the dinning room, the list goes on. Really put a downer on the first day of the holiday. I don't expect to have to provide essentials like forks and kitchen knives and clean on arrival. Manager of property was initially understanding but is now ignoring my emails.”

“Overall this was a good stay, rooms were nice and clean and there was plenty of space for 10 adults to stay. However, both ovens failed to heat properly which made cooking a bit of a pain. Check in process was not great, only being able to arrive between 5-6, the owner did not respond to any prior messages. Despite this, the local area was stunning, and the house was fit for purpose and good value considering the price of other locations in the area for a group this size.”

“Lovely location, very spacious property with amazing spaces. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Beds comfortable. bathrooms good. Great bonus as it wasn’t exactly “flaming June” was the snooker table, especially for the youngsters , there were many challenging matches! Outside facilities were great but because of the weather not uses apart from table tennis and basketball net. Plenty to see and do only a short drive away.”

“A wonderful location for a last minute short break. The Barn was exactly what we needed and as described. We could happily sit and look at the Views and sunset from the garden / patio, whilst relaxing. Walking possible direct from the Barn and easy access to loads of places to visit across the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Great communication from host. “A lovely 3 night Stay in Hay on Wye. The cottage is stunning and so well located for browsing the shops, the sights and the castle and perfect to pop back and forth if needed. Very central but also very peaceful. Communication from Sue was amazing and she was really accommodating and generous throughout our stay. I would book here again in a heartbeat.”
