Grace Garden Home, un jardín natural frente al río en el centro de Lisboa

Apartamento ubicado junto al distrito turístico de Graça, donde se encuentran los miradores más bellos de Lisboa (Senhora do Monte y Graça) desde donde se puede ver el Castillo de San Jorge, el centro de Lisboa y el río Tajo, y algunos de los monumentos más emblemáticos. Religiosos de lisboa
(Monasterio de San Vicente, Iglesia de la Gracia, Iglesia de Santa Engrácia), monumentos como el Panteón Nacional donde se celebra los martes y sábados el mercadillo portugués Marché aux Puces, los Museos del Agua y el Azulejo.

El barrio de Graça está al lado del famoso distrito de Alfama, donde se encuentra el Museo del Fado y donde se celebran muchos restaurantes donde viven Fado todas las noches.

El barrio de Graça es el punto de partida y la llegada del famoso tranvía 28.

La casa fue completamente renovada en agosto de 2017 y se encuentra en la planta baja de un edificio frente al río Tajo, tiene una superficie total de alrededor de 160 m2 y consta de sala de estar, cocina, 2 dormitorios, 1 aseo, terraza y jardín. 80 m2 con árboles frutales y vegetación natural, con mucha exposición al sol e iluminación nocturna y una terraza de 15m2 con mesa de comedor y área de descanso.

Una de las habitaciones, la cocina y la sala de estar tienen ventanas que dan a la calle y al río, están equipadas con todo el equipamiento necesario para una estancia confortable en la cosmopolita ciudad de Lisboa, como estufa, refrigerador, microondas, cafetera, TV con multitud de canales e internet inalámbrico.

El dormitorio tiene capacidad para 2 personas en una cama doble compuesta por módulos independientes y tiene 2 mesitas de noche con lámparas y percha, cómoda y espejo.

El salón tiene una chaise longue y un sofá cama con capacidad adicional para 2 personas.

El otro dormitorio que se comunica con el patio trasero tiene 2 camas individuales con capacidad para 2 personas, y tiene mesita de noche, percha de espejo, armario y un sofá.

Ambas habitaciones tienen equipos de aire acondicionado.

En la terraza, con una superficie de 15 m2, hay una mesa y dos mesas y un banco con capacidad para 6 personas.

El jardín natural ha sido diseñado, debido a su extensa área, su exposición al sol y la frescura proveniente de los árboles frutales y la vegetación natural, para que sea un lugar de descanso y ocio y donde pueda disfrutar de una buena comida en las agradables tardes provistas por Clima de Lisboa.

El jardín cuenta con iluminación nocturna completa y enchufes eléctricos.

El estacionamiento es gratuito y fácil en la calle, que es tranquila en su frecuencia.

La casa está ubicada en una zona de clase media y se encuentra a poca distancia a pie de 12 minutos del barrio de Graça, el Panteón Nacional, el Monasterio de San Vicente, el mercado de pulgas, el mirador de Monte (el más hermoso de Lisboa). , A 8 minutos del Museo del Agua y la Iglesia de Santa Engrácia, a 20 minutos de la estación principal de trenes (Santa Apolónia) y el Museo del Fado, donde comienza el distrito de Alfama, y también a 20 minutos del Castillo de San Jorge y a 25 minutos del Museo del Azulejo.

Además del tranvía 28, hay muchas otras formas de transporte público que sirven al área alrededor de la casa y siempre existe la posibilidad de utilizar el servicio de taxi, Uber o plataformas similares.

En el barrio de Graça y en las inmediaciones de la casa hay una cantidad muy significativa de restaurantes, no solo de cocina portuguesa, sino también italiana, india, francesa, etc.

Debido a su relevancia y proximidad, ya podemos mencionar el restaurante Pitéu (cocina portuguesa) y Cervejaria Ramiro (el ex libris portugués en mariscos), pero muchos otros son de fácil acceso.

Además del animado entretenimiento del cercano distrito de Alfama, específicamente el fado, la proximidad del centro de la ciudad de Lisboa hace que la principal actividad cultural no sea más de 10 minutos en taxi.

En cuanto a la vida nocturna, el principal club nocturno de Lisboa (LUX) se encuentra cerca de la estación de Santa Apolónia y la terminal de cruceros turísticos, y a 20 minutos de la casa.

Apartamento confortable, bien equipado y en una zona tranquila pero bien ubicada y comunicada de Lisboa. Los dueños excelentes personas e inmejorables anfitriones, José se encarga de hacerte sentir como en casa. Muy recomendable.

Perfect location to stay with a family
Jose was a wonderful host. We appreciated that he greeted us at the door and gave us a tour of the house. The wine, beer, and not just a stocked kitchen but some of the extra things we could use was very helpful. It was a perfect location for us to stay with a 1.5 year old. The beds were comfy and getting around was very easy. Parking was a bit tricky at night, but during the day it wasn't an issue and the location was very convenient to get on and off the major nearby roads. Getting to a bus stop was just 2 blocks away. Walking to the busier areas of Lisbon was not hard and taking the 735 bus back up to the house was very easy. The house was very comfortable to stay in. The backyard area was very nice. We enjoyed dinners back there. It really made the whole place feel more spacious. We were there during June when festivals were very common. We never had issues with noise. People in the neighborhood were friendly. We would easily recommend Graça Garden Home to friends and hope to come back again someday.

Comfortable, spacious apartment in authentic neighbourhood with wonderful host
Jose,the host,couldn't be more helpful. He provided dried goods like pasta, olive oil condiments etc - and a bottle of wine and 2 traditional custard tarts as a welcome gift. He also drove us around Graca to orientate us as well as showing us a local short cut which made accessing the local facilities more straightforward. He also took us to the airport on departure without charge. The apartment is at the top of one of Lisbon's many hills so you need a car/taxis (which are very reasonably priced) to get back up to the address - unless you are pretty fit! But it is in a cul-de-sac so is quiet and there is a terrific view of the sea from the street. Buses go from the nearest main road and the iconic 28 tram from a few streets further on. Lisbon is a fantastic city with so much to see and do - and this year is the 50th anniversary of Portugal's peaceful revolution in 1974. There is a small museum about the resistance movement - the Museo do Aljube - which describes the repressive conditions suffered by the population before democracy was won. Absolutely fascinating. And on a lighter note - don't miss seeing the views from the many "miradouros" - viewing points, they are stunning. All in all, a lovely stay in a wonderful city.

We had a lovely time! José is very kind and lovely, and had a binder ready with lots of recommendations. The place was very well stocked, and he has great attention to detail. He welcomed us with our very first pastel de nata which was delightful.

Magic garden home
The apartment is comfortable, the gardens in the back so perfect for breakfast and when you get home at night. It was easy to grab Ubers to/from and we had the best meal at a restaurant near by. Grocery stores close also. The host is amazing, had wine, and some essentials for us (so thoughtful). He explained what was around and was so accessible if needed. Alough it feels funny to get to the neighborhood the first time, you will be happy to stay here. I would come back!

Oasis in Lisbon
We loved staying in this peaceful oasis of green and calm for a long weekend in April. Jose gave us a warm welcome and excellent restaurant recommendations and he and his daughter Joana were very responsive in all communications before and during our stay. The apartment is located on the edge of Graça which is lively with plenty of good restaurants and some of the best rooftop views of the city. The city centre is around half an hour's walk away through the historic old town of Alfama; all downhill on the way there, but you need strong legs and lungs to walk all the way back up! Ubers are a very cheap option though in Lisbon, certainly compared to the UK. Back at the apartment, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the shower excellent, and it was wonderful to have a choice of outside spaces, including the green shady garden, to recover from a busy day of sightseeing. We would highly recommend Graça Garden Home!

Wonderful apartment
Beautiful apartment on the ground floor, with two large bedrooms. The garden and patio space at the rear, for the exclusive use of this apartment, is a wonderful place to have morning coffee or an evening drink before going to a fado restaurant. It was all spotlessly clean, and the host kindly provided welcome drinks and pastries for us. The kitchen is well equipped, and there were various stockroom items for us to use (although the food is Lisbon was so good that we didn’t use the kitchen!). Excellent shower with powerful flow, and lots of hot water. Information about sights and attractions is available in folders on the apartment bookcases. If there are any questions that those leaflets don’t answer, the host will help - he was kind enough to provide us with restaurant recommendations and information about taxis for our very early departure to the airport. The apartment is well located. There is a small cafe a few metres away and for morning coffee, and it’s a 10minute walk (only a little uphill) to a tram stop for the famous 28 yellow tram that takes you to see all the sights of Lisbon. It is a little longer to walk to Santa Apolonia station and the waterfront, but down a very steep hill - a taxi is recommended if you can arriving there and want to come to the flat! There was no traffic or other noise at all, despite the flat being at ground level. The host couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful, and I would recommend this apartment to anybody visiting Lisbon.

Excellent place to stay
The apartment is clean, quiet and spacious for two people. The kitchen had everything we needed. Jose met us, checked us in and gave us the names of good restaurants. The garden is very special. Our only hesitation is the location — you need to be willing to take a taxi/Uber or walk a half-hour to get to the downtown areas. We didn’t have a car (driving one in Lisbon looked suicidal). Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place and host!
Jose was the best host! He met us at the door, showed us around the place, had wine and bread for us in the apartment, and then took us for a walk for several blocks to see some close by sites, share some of the culture of his city, point out good markets and a bakery, and then we had a coffee! We've never been greeted like this, as if we were old friends! Jose always responded quickly to questions on vrbo. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good. The garden/patio area was so nice to sit in at night while we enjoyed a glass of wine, some fruit, cheese and bread. It's a bit of a walk to the most popular areas downtown (20-30 minutes) but we like to hike so it was ok by us (and we could eat more pastries and bread!). The outside area on the walk to downtown is a bit trashy which can be surprising when you first come from the airport. Unfortunately this is how much of Lisbon is outside of the tourist areas. It's such a beautiful city, though, so look at those parts. This was one of the best places we've ever stayed in and much of that was due to Jose's warm welcome and help. If we get back to Lisbon, we would absolutely stay here again. Obrigado Jose!

Amazing apartment with garden - close to city sights
Jose was an excellent host - at checkin he offered to take us by car to the nearest supermarket and the best view point in Lisbon. He explained a short cut on foot from the apartment to Graça - a central tourist spot - less than 10 mins walk. From there we could walk to all the central sights of Lisbon. He could not have been a more charming and helpful host. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The apartment had a charming court yard and a really pretty, very private garden - perfect for breakfast, dinner or an evening drink. We hired a car and always found a parking place. The apartment whilst being central was excellently located to get out of the city and explore the beautiful Atlantic coast and for the airport. We had a truly wonderful stay and can’t wait to return!

Very nice stay
It was an awesome stay, and central to most of what we wanted to do. Jose was very communicative and kind. One thing to keep in mind for future guests is the quiet hours, 10pm can’t make much noise after that. As Americans we weren’t aware of that. Other than the quiet hours, I would give this rental a 5/5. It was clean, and as advertised. I felt safe the entire time as well.

Fantastic Apartment!
We loved our stay in Lisbon and it was such a treat to come back to such a welcoming and relaxing apartment after a long hot day touring the beautiful city. There is a beautiful hidden oasis in the back of the apartment to unwind with a glass of wine in the evening or enjoy a coffee in the morning. The place was really nicely decorated, very clean, very spacious and well equipped with a really nice bottle of wine waiting for us from the Douro Region. The host was waiting for us when we arrived, was incredibly helpful and very nice - they provided the perfect stay for us in Lisbon. Would absolutely without a doubt recommend this place. The only thing we would mention is that is a bit of a walk from the touristy places but is a very inexpensive uber to anywhere we wanted to go.

Jose was an excellent host! Met us upon arrival and walked us through the apartment. It was comfortable and clean and Jose gave us some fruit, bread, and wine to get us started. Peaceful stay in heart of Lisbon Old Town
From check-in to check-out, this stay was so lovely. Jose who met us was so kind and accommodating. He walked us through the whole place and took a genuine interest in what we were planning for the trip, offering good tips too. He also left us some delicious Portuguese treats, and most special of all - purchased personalized birthday candles for my Mum who celebrated a milestone birthday there. So touching! The place itself is very clean, bright, and also where we got our best sleep out of the whole trip. And the back (private) garden is a perfect shaded, birdsong-filled oasis in the centre of the city. A wonderful stay
A wonderful apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood. A great place to relax after a busy day. The private garden is perfect in the evening. It is an easy walk to coffee, the market, and food. The apartment is clean, modern, attractive and quiet. Jose is wonderful. We look forward to being able to stay again in the future.

Wonderful apartment
The photos accurately portray the apartment. No surprises! The outdoor space was phenomenal. It was so nice to spend the day walking the hills of Lisbon and return to the apartment for an evening (with wine) in the quiet garden. The kitchen is small but so well stocked with everything you need. The hosts kindly left fresh bread, jam, honey, wine, and apples on the table when we arrived. There was a beer and small bottle of bubbly in the fridge. The kitchen also includes an array of basic provisions (paper towels, napkins, sugar, flour, seasonings, pasta, olive oil, canned tuna and sardines, etc.) This was a very nice touch! The beds were very comfortable. The shower was great. We had some difficulty with the quirky hair dryer, but Jose was quick to respond. Communication with Jose is seamless, which made the experience great. He greeted us at check in, shared information and tips on Lisbon (he also leaves a great notebook with information), and made himself available during our stay. (He lives across the street so can quickly assist if needed.) When he met us at check out, he offered to drive us the 5 minutes to the Apolonia train station, which we greatly appreciated. Fantastic stay!

Nice apartment
Very comfortable apartment with a wonderful garden area. You do need to walk a bit to get to restaurants, grocery stores and public transportation. Our host was not available when we checked in so we didn’t really get a good overview of what was available, although his friend who checked us in did try. We didn’t like that as soon as we arrived, we were u asked when we would be checking out and that question was repeated. Ok

Perfect host and lovely apartment
We stayed for 3 nights in Jose's apartment, we had a wonderful time. Jose was very accommodating with check in and departure times, and the milk, tea, coffee and other food left for us was very much appreciated. Such a wonderful host, available for any questions during our stay and so friendly and welcoming. The outside gardens were a great to sit out in after a long day's site seeing. We walked into the center each morning (about 25/30 mins) and got an uber home each night, €4/5. Ubers in general are such good value for money. We would definitely return to Lisbon, a great city. Thank you Jose.

exceeded expectations
If we could give Jose a 10, we would. The place was in a great location, he was gracious, helpful, and kind. Great recommendations for local spots of interest. Our family had two separate departure times and he assisted w/ airport logistics. I couldn’t say enough kind words about the stay in Lisbon. Hidden gem ;)
