Marco and Lynn are really friendly hosts and were very communicative throughout the pre arrival stage and the first day start of our stay. The house has good facilities and although, as a couple, we only used one bedroom, it was very comfortable and nicely furnished, the other two on inspection, looked comfortable as well.
Unfortunately, I injured my leg on the second day which negated the reason to be on the pond, lots of swimming and kayaking, which didn’t happen, but that had nothing to do with the camp!
Essentially, we were looking for privacy, so this didn’t work for us at all, as this camp is very close to another camp on the left, within 40 feet or so, Sadly, for us an incredibly noisy family of five arrived there, on day two, and we then had to tie up our dogs for almost all of the stay, to avoid them wanting to play with their small children.
Also the pond has a lot of motor boat activity, So a tranquil time just isn’t possible, as so many speed up and down the pond, especially in the last hour before sundown! No wonder the Loons were much scarcer than expected.
So in conclusion, if you’re a family with youngsters this is a great spot, with a well appointed house with everything you need, Great water access, and you’ll have plenty of playmates. However, if you’re like us with two pups, Just looking for a peaceful, relaxed week, this isn’t the place for you.
But, we’ve never met a nicer couple of hosts than Lynn and Marco, we’re just sorry the location didn’t meet our criteria of quietness, privacy and Loon song! Families, will just love it!!
